Just got myself a Maverick D1 from a fellow forumer here, currently listening to Madonna - Frozen with my DT880/250.
I have to say this is a major improvement over my old SR60i. |

Schwarzkopf Osis+ but those are fibre gum.you can try asking jaben for the pro series pads. they are made of synthetic materials .. tho not as soft but i guess it wont get sticky overtime So the Pro pad won't get sticky after some time? Any Pro pad users wanna share their experience? |

I think I've burned in my DT880 long enough, and weirdly I seem to be enjoying pairing it with GoVibe Peak rather than my Maverick D1. It was not like this before. Now I'm not sure if I want to sell the GoVibe Peak and seem to have slight buyer remorse with the D1. I hate this feeling.
Anyways to all DT880 user, what kind of amp you guys using? I might be in the market for a new one. |

QUOTE(Hitman66 @ May 14 2011, 09:06 PM) might be because of the opamp that being used on maverick D1 isnt that great for beyers compared to govibe peak. With the D1 the bass seems more fluid and everything sounds more musical, with the Peak everything sounds raw with finer treble. Still can't decide which I prefer more. EDIT: After further listening, I find that I prefer the D1 more. DT880 suffers from recessed mids and D1 improves it somewhat, not so with Peak. QUOTE(xandman @ Jul 20 2011, 06:54 PM) yeah true that. I was a Grado user, the fatigue kicks in after 3-4 hours of listening for me. Those who can listen to them for long hours are probably used to it (a friend of mine is one of them).some frens of mine...can listen to grado/alessandro for almost whole day... i tested few mins feels like vomitting d... Now that I own a DT880 I don't get any fatigue at all, it's just that I have problem deciding what music to play lol. |

QUOTE(egyprince @ Jul 20 2011, 11:16 PM) Haha...Hmm...what is the different for the Dt880 and Dt880 pro and DT990 ? Izit higher the no ...higher the range??... Its typical order for other headphone....i try to look for more info in the offical website...just that its too much info to digest... http://www.head-fi.org/wiki/information-so...een-dt770-dt990EDIT: Also I think Jaben have a DT880 that has already been burned in for more than 500 hours. DT880 mids is much recessed if anything. But everything else is probably the same, if not a bit less in quality compared to T1 from what I've read.

Is it just me or my DT880 suddenly gained more bass? Suddenly the bass feels a bit too much for me, burned in effect perhaps? I really hope it's just a placebo effect.
Maybe I need to get a tube amp asap. |

QUOTE(hongrui @ Aug 25 2011, 08:43 AM) I think my DT880 already burned in some time ago. Right now I really think it's my amp, the bass now sound too bloated (bass boost is off too btw). Tested with a speaker amp, the bass is fine. The said amp is GoVibe Peak. Then again I'm not sure if its the burned in effect of the amp or it's just faulty. Any DT880/Peak user wanna share their experience? |

What is there to explain? You hated it therefore you must have tried it. What kind of headband adjusting mechanism that can be compared to be regarded as something better?
I have no qualms with the build quality or the mechanism of the headband itself. It fit in just nice and comfy on my head. |

Maybe you tried on a faulty headphone? Mine locks itself quite well, no readjusting needed after hearing sessions.

QUOTE(awyongcarl @ Oct 14 2011, 10:41 PM) I've seen a few, all them works the same way and someone (only 1 now though, lol) actually agreed with me that the headband doesn't lock. I understand that, I can see it could get loose after few years of tear and wear. Mine is almost a year old and the locking mechanism is still strong, need quite a bit of force to readjust the headband. The slider on the PRO model are somewhat tighter, I noticed but that is definitely not a solid locking mechanism, I can't feel or hear any clicking. (I love DT1350's headband) I am not comparing DT880 to HD800, bear in mind, they are in difference class after all. Not K701 either because that is using a self-adjusting mechanism. |

Well, I'm sure mine is newer than hongrui's. Like I said, it could be due to tear and wear. If I were to compare the force needed to adjust my headband, I would compare it to HD650 which I tried at Jaben few weeks ago.
