just came back from jaben....thought of checking out k701, and instead got poison by dt880 and hd650
and somehow i prefer the sound of dt880 over dt990
*
Welcome to the Club, you are not alone.
Me too feel the same way when i tested dt880... got compared it with k701, dt770 and dt990 too.
And gotten myself the dt880. LOL laugh.gif

But, new unit of dt880 sounds very harsh at 1st. Haha...
Require good source and a lot of head time (burning) for it to sound good.

You must feed it with Good Good Quality Musics for it to Sing, say No to Mp3.
Are you testing it with Tube Amp at Jaben??? If not, then you might want to give it a try.

Dt880 250ohm smile.gif
The longer you use it, the more you will like it.

Just that my premium edition's dt880 headband is no good.
Got any replacement? Feels like it's getting sticky...

You guys all going so high end now I stucked at DT440 cause no budget cry.gif
*
Bro, try to enjoy with what you have 1st. smile.gif
Slowly, got budget only upgrade.

Makes listening to music an enjoyment, not suffering for ugprade.
If you keep thinking for upgrades, you will not able to really enjoy the songs, you may just end up enjoying your gear. brows.gif
Not saying upgrade is not important, it is very very important. laugh.gif sorry if i confuse you. blush.gif

*
Fatique mean you listen until you want to throw the headphone away. laugh.gif hmm.gif
If you don't have the problem, then good.
