I'm going to get dt990 soon.
What's the main diff btw 32 and 250ohm?
I auditioned both last night,32 sounds more noise to me.

32 ohm means it can be driven easily, i.e. just plug and play to the source, like iPod.
250 ohm sounds best if it's driven by a dedicated headamp.

But as a full-sized headphone, not many people will bring DT990 out.
I suggest u go for 250 ohm and try get a good headamp.
You should try to listen to 600 ohm, lagi shiok!... hehehe!

I'm using DT880, 250 ohm, bought 2nd hand as no money to get the brand new 600 ohm.

Just back from Jaben.

I auditioned 600ohm, it's less noise and the music sounds more depth.
But the price is SGD499, 100 bucks more than the 250ohm.
Somemore I will be using it with Ibasso Boa (250ohm) or CrossRoads Edge Amp (600ohm), don't think either one is powerful enough for that monster.
So at the end I bought the 250ohm (SGD399 come with CrossRoads Amp)

bought it from jaben as well
anyway i sold the crossroad amp to someone else and bought a zero dac
currently looking to pair with darkvoice 332 or little dot mk 4
jus wan to c if they have problem driving 600 ohm cans

zero dac is 1 of the best bang of buck and it perform as well as other good dac
currently pair with my dt880 but somehow it couldnt drive it to the point
had to turn to 3 o clock for volume to get the desired sound signature
anyway will go to jaben and audition darkvoice 332 and c whether it could drive the beast

my Fubar II and my Battery Cute II amp both came with the allan keys.

anyway... u can just use any allan key of the right size to open it up. doesnt need to be the one that comes with the packaging.

Now my Darkvoice 336se is giving me problem already.
Maybe in the market for solid-state headamp to drive my DT880 /250 ohm and AT EHSW9.
