Hi all - I have a 2 TB iCloud subscription and every time when I changed a phone my messages are restored but not my media’s, videos or documents. I can only see question Mark as screenshot.

Any way I can back it up or retrieve my old media’s on WhatsApp?

Is your chat backup set to autobackup on in your whtsapp settings?

This is the backup setting. Previously my backup was much larger 6gb then 1gb. Now few hundred MB only. When restoring my phone I chose to restore from my previous backup which was 6gb +. But halfway restoring it will be stuck at halfway loading.

From what you said, I can only tell that this is a bug on their side, and you probably couldn't retrieve the old backup 6GB anymore

If i were you I would try one or two more time reinstalling and retrieving the old 6GB backup

Last resort, contact apple for this, 6GB worth of media of yours are important right? Good Luck
