My Coway Water Filter to be finished installment by Dec 2020.

Thinking to do self maintenance for filters cartridges (Sense, Neo, Plus, Anti bacteria); but would like to ask around has anyone have doing this so far? any pros and cons?

besides, some question from me:

1. how much can saved by self service and buy cartridges?
2. how reliable of compatible filter cartridges or original cartridges?
3. what is the recommendation on cartridges replacement? change them all 4 units at once?
4. I notice during instalment, alternative months not service (no change cartridges) also have to pay. and my home usage just 2 person; would like to prolong cartridge's replacement, is the cartridge time based or usage based?
5. after 5yrs, mean no more warranty/maintenance free. if I self service after that and if water filter got rosak for electronic or pump later, can we still pay coway guy to repair?

I add on every 2 month service and will end this month.

buy oem filter from shopee and install ?

Filters are to be changed based on time based. Once used, impurities are trapped which contained many things including bacterias. Prolong usage to save cost is detrimental to health.

Better to buy cheaper OEM filters and change regularly if cost a concern.

Why do some people buy expensive filtration system for home when more time are spend outside eating and drinking ?

oem filter got big different compare coway original filter ?
price different a lot ?

Filtration quality filter is proportionate to price. For eg, the basic pp sediment filter, it can range from RM2 to above RM20 per piece. Which to buy depends on where it is place as it can affect the water pressure.

coway full set original filter 3pcs cost how much?

I dont own one but oem or compatible non branded should be cheaper. BTW I diy my own filtration system having used and experimented various media types.

I am using a 3-filter Diamond water filter (it is my 3rd unit - just ceramic filter and two activated carbon filters) for the past 15 years and it has served my family well.

Malaysia's treated pipe water is good enough to drink straight from the tap if not for the rusty pipe so the 3-filter system is good enough for me and we don't boil water except to make hot drinks.

I have a RO water filter for backup but the filtered water lacks the 'sweetness' of the Diamond water.

i see a lot rusty pipes. if not outside, internal house is rusty tape pipes, geri si lor

only recently repair pipe state gov change plastic type but that just portion of whole pipe. no use also

That's why still need filters - I can see the difference - no filter the water is yellowish, with filter it's clear.

Bro, waiting eagerly for your DIY setup and where you source the parts, especially the filters since that's the heart of the system.

Can ask what are the three filters at the bottom? Ceramic or activated carbon filters? Where can find reliable ones?
