Guess I dodged a bullet when I failed to get a preorder 5 times in a row lol.
Thanks to Wario64, I managed to secure one from Amazon US. Kastams will rape me but at least I’ll get it soon. |

The guy from FB, Charles. One thing I noticed different was he never receive the PO confirmation email. while most of us here did I believe. At least I did receive the PO confirmation and also from the sony store website has confirmed that my account has one item purchased.

The guy chose the option to have a refund but was told that it will take 2 months thanks for the info. i just read that post & really feel sorry for that guy. if he had to wait 2 months for refund, maybe he should just gone for the 2nd batch instead.i also read that he reported to all the government authorities & wonder if any action would be taken on sony malaysia for the online preorder fiasco? QUOTE(whatnametoput? @ Nov 13 2020, 06:06 PM) Not trying to defend for Sony. But I believe some of them occured due to human error. For example, for the issue of extended storage may shut down the console due to unknown reason. This one could be their mistake of plug in to the wrong port. According to PS5 Ultimate faq https://blog.playstation.com/2020/11/09/ps5...e-ultimate-faq/ Input/Output Front of Console USB Type-C® port (Super-Speed USB 10Gbps) USB Type-A port (Hi-Speed USB) — Connect your DualSense wireless controller to this port. Input/Output Back of Console USB Type-A port (Super-Speed USB 10Gbps) x2 — Use these ports to connect a USB drive for extended storage. You can also connect your HD Camera here. The USB Type-A port in front of the console is designed for Dualsense wireless controller. Some user may not awared of it and they plugged their external HDD drive into it. The correct way is to plug in to the USB ports at the back of the console. Why? Do you notice the word "Super-Speed USB 10Gbps"? That's the term means ready for external drive. The USB Type-A port in front of the console got Hi-Speed USB only. So leave that for your controller. As for the external SSD with usb-c cable, you can plug that into the USB Type-C® port (which is also Super-Speed USB 10Gbps) in front of the console. And don't ask me why Sony designed it in that way. I have no idea. But since they mentioned this specifically in their FAQ, then we better just follow their instruction to avoid any unnecessary issues. This post has been edited by Max2006: Nov 13 2020, 07:46 PM |

QUOTE(madballs @ Nov 13 2020, 08:00 PM) Oh is it? They didn't mention that in article, and I thought they plugged in the wrong port. My bad. So Sony's fault it is.Btw, are there any reports about problem using the front port? Especially the usb c port? If you know anything about this, do share with us. Thanks. Biasalah. Most electronic devices would have this kind of problem. Product released, sold to the customers, customers find out bugs and errors, report to manufacturer, rectify with next update. And repeat. The same old story. You should have knew this before you buy an electronic device. |
