your best bet is sony store.

that only applies to the online store. that's the risk of preordering online when thousands of gamers including scalper bots are hammering the servers to compete with you.

there is no cancellation for walk-in preorders. 

i wont ever paid for for scalper as i am willing to wait   

Like wkn said those who know how the PreOrder runs, he already book his place long long time ago. Then he got a call from Sony and just go walk in and pay the amount after work. That's the best strategy.

not if you pre-registered with sony store like me. i walked in at sony store in the evening to make my preorder like a boss when all the crowd went home already. 

Unless Sony Msia is headed by a foreigner, otherwise you can expect local attitude in handling customer, totally cannot compare with more developed countries where businesses avoid offsetting customers.

I know u butthutt because po cancel but bro if you have some knowledge about IT and how system works, you will understand that a system glitch can happen anywhere. Its nothing related to reputation at all. Reputation/PR is done by Marketing Department, Stocks allocation is done by Business Dev/Dealers/Management Department, Online store maintenance is done by IT Department, Packing and Sending items is done by Logistic Department which include machines and human. Before you shoot sony, learn how a business works first.

You think they so happy can cincai cancel your order? They want to make profit so if they have a unit confirm they will sell to you la. Not only Malaysia, PS5 is on shortage worldwide, they are working hard to produce more units which will come in 2nd, 3rd batch and so on. This is why they give you an option to pre register for 2nd batch OR refund, due to system glitch and that's unavoidable. Sony online store cannot just simply take stocks from his dealers like sony klcc/curve/impulse/hgtime or other game shops just to fulfill your order because of system glitch, why? because this is how business works. sony needs to fulfill his dealers orders first then only fulfill the consumers orders.

I met him in Sony's OLED event last year , if I recall he said he came from the marketing team of middle east Sony .

Especially remembered him well because his english has been improving by quite a lot by years .

Well lucky me in Ipoh. I POed from Sony Ipoh Parade at 10am after the shop open. Nobody waiting there bcoz of MCO and I was the 13th person to paid for the PO. Walk-in, pay the moneh and go back home. After that people start queue for almost 50 pax at 11am

you are lucky, people in ipoh are not so kiasu like here. in the klang valley, those people all line up until you cannot see the line anymore. 

Know for a fact that some sony centres opened PO way before the announcement. Thats why the number of units offered during line-up might seem odd 

I told everyone here that sony lowyat was taking in pre-orders before. And a friend managed to get his unit without lining up
