QUOTE(lim360 @ Dec 2 2020, 03:15 PM) I believe Sony Malaysia by now already got their stock ready at their main warehouse .Right now maybe they are working on labelling/arranging/allocating units shipment to different distributor across Malaysia. So just chill, relax and wait for it. Not like there's much we can do about it. Those distributors even though they already know the status by now but they won’t tell you the status because each statement they make they will attract thousand of question/phone call/ hassle enquiries from customer . You know sometime we customers are quite “annoying” don’t you think? Those who pre-ordered online can start to stay tune, maybe by end of this week or early next week will receive some email update like orders tracking number and shipment status etc... Probably they are printing your label tag, and already start packing etc. If I am Sony,I don’t think I will just only start printing ,packing and ship your order on 11th Dec 2020. Especially deal with this kind of high demand and sensitive product where even slight delay can bring a lot of hassle phone call, questions, email ,complain from customer .They sure know this and they don’t want that for sure. If I am Sony I will start prepare everything a week or 2 before launch date. |

QUOTE(simmarjit @ Dec 2 2020, 03:32 PM) That is better for sure larh, consoles games are optimized for the hardware thats why consoles still can get good enough performance. On its own the card can't play any game at all........... |

QUOTE(Wijjog @ Dec 2 2020, 04:08 PM) Youve just proven my point. If youre looking for a purely gaming "best bang for buck" machine then consoles are a no brainer I enjoy being console peasant playing games from the comfort of my recliner sofa with 5.1.2 surround speakers and a entry level 70" 4k tv.If you want something more then get a PC. PCs are not competing with consoles and vice versa Then again for those who say its just a gpu and you need all the extra costs to properly enjoy a rig, dont forget you'll probably need a new tv with hdmi 2.1 to make the most out of your consoles. Point is neither of these hobbies are "budget-friendly" anymore Food for thought |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 2 2020, 04:19 PM) Not at all. iOS and Android are software comparisons. Even then, it's only boring if you don't understand either of them deep enough to have a fruitful discussion. Long time PC does not exist in my home, only the work laptop brought home just in case need to follow up anything.I have both. You can do the same with the PC from a recliner. If gonna spend further I think I may go for laser projector. I'm comfortable as peasant |

QUOTE(Wijjog @ Dec 2 2020, 04:32 PM) Weird flex but okay Sorry..... I wasn't the one started the whole PC vs console thingy, there's no comparison between the 2 for me.At the end of the day get whichever that floats your boat. But let me reiterate: consoles will never outperform a PC of the same generation, and stop comparing apples to oranges I stick to console as it's value for money and also simplicity of use, just like all my other home entertainment equipment, all entry level only. How to flex when this thread full of OLED TV user. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 2 2020, 04:36 PM) Entry level laser projectors are not actually using laser... if you're talking about a true laser projector that is entry level, it'll cost more than both a top of the line PC and PS5 combined. Oh really? I'm not tech guy, I see description laser so I take it as laser This is the kind of projector that I may consider in the future to upgrade my home entertainment. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/xiaomi-f...qB73xP&search=1 |

QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Dec 2 2020, 05:10 PM) Good old days of playing PS2 with CRT tv. Worry of losing the memory card is greater than the hardware spec. Now some more 120hz support, I don’t know how many games can output that or how many ppl got TV to utilise that. I will be happy enough with 4K and 60fps where available. |

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Dec 3 2020, 12:21 AM) Looks like the same issue with last gen consoles. Seems Sony had to source different fan models to meet production needs Noisy fans in some models. Certainly expected from Sony. Hopefully no other more important components having same issues of different quality. Jenn77 liked this post

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Dec 3 2020, 08:20 AM) https://www.lowyat.net/2020/227363/ps5-fans...mber-of-blades/ Not double standards lah, more of a production issue. Probably sourcing different models/supplier due to lack of supply during the pandemic. Better pray that it's only the fan that they compromised on to meet production needs. lol double standard for sony? clearly seen the one at left is a better fan. oops posted by someone up there but i think tis is not a good way to treat people. someone this one can easily seen whether u get the lousier fan or not when open the sideplate. but u cant do anything about it to sony lol. |

As per one of the youtube video doing in-dept termo testing, we can reduce the PS5 temperature by 5 degree Celsius by just not having the 2 white plates...... Anyone planning to use it without the plates?
5 degree Celsius different is a lot |

QUOTE(Wijjog @ Dec 3 2020, 09:16 AM) Sony knows they can cheap-out whoever they want, and it still wont affect sales. Being ethical is not in their business motto Not possible, Sony does not enjoy monopoly or god status like Apple.Calling it first that future versions of the PS5 wont come with a controller. All in the name of saving the environment. Sounds familiar? If Sony remove controller from the console package, it would lose sales to Xbox |

QUOTE(terryfu @ Dec 3 2020, 10:10 AM) Lol. I see what u did there. Just for comparison If u wanna compare battery capacity reduction, should compare against dual shock controller battery performance over the years lah, why compare battery to a plug-in power source PS4? 1. My Apple ip11 bought less than 2 yrs, now battery capacity drop to 88 percent. 2. My faithful PS4 and PS4 pro, entering its 5th year now. Still running non stop playing games etc. Have some faith in Sony. Been buying since PS3 days. All running smoothly today as if it was new. If u r the real unlucky ones, then I can’t say much. Suggest those who is getting the ps5 make sure got proper ventilation surrounding. |
