Instant hot water heater? If yes, im afraid the water flow is too low to wash dishes.
i get hot water at the kitchen sink from a central tank and that works much better. |

Install this - then your whole house can have hot/cold water if you add the required plumbing:
https://www.rinnai.com.my/product/domestic/...eu-a2626wd-gen/ Been using it for 12yrs+ no complains. |

Normally only if cutlery requires hot water, I will boil 3 litre water during dinner and soak the cutlery with dishwasher liquid thereafter.

I would put it over the counter, not under the sink. Get the one with pump if water pressure is low. But that water heater not like the water is too hot. If need hot water, I just use the water boiler that I already have. Not like I'm going to use a lot of it.

QUOTE(cablesguy @ Nov 13 2020, 08:54 AM) PJusa yes but since the question was about whole house hot water i recommended gas. i used solar before and i was not able to supply all my demand at all times. backup heater was the weak spot there. as we are using PV on the roof we opted for gas water heater. for solar you really have to check if you can dimension it right. gas needs a very small space and provides exact tempered water at all times.Ha2 ya, solars not too bad nowadays. Running 12 years, that's quite a feat and speaks of the quality of the product. |

Been using this method for my house 10 years ago already.
Water heater is much cheaper option and it works flawlessly. |
