Which monitor do you plan to buy for the new M1 Mac Mini?

Guys new to mac stuff, wta with my setup if I buy this mac mini will it just be plug and play or do I need to buy some more apple products to be able to use it properly??? Asking bcs if need to spend more money than I might as well spend the extra rm1k and get a macbook air which comes with everything...

I can't view the data, but it is not surprised that laptop demand is low for the past many years, after introduction of smart phone.

Gamers = Desktop ofcos.
Personal Usage = replaced by smart phone
Office/corporate = number of operational staff > sales team (non-travel --> Desktop; travel --> laptop)
Uni/college students = laptop (but the library, lecturer rooms, chancellor office, HEP office all use desktop)

TBH, I dun think Apple is looking forward to close the gap.

In fact, Windows OS still dominant in corporate...probably this benefit Lenovo, Dell, HP more...
Oh yea....if accounting students --> windows still the 1st choice

there's really no reason to buy a desktop nowadays for the average user. even professionals tend to get "mobile workstations" too instead of the big dekstops anymore.

Finally received my Mac Mini (base model) yesterday heh heh. Really blazing fast this thing.

Just a thought, do you guys usually leave it plugged in to Sleep at night? Or would you turn off the switch?

I know with Macbooks, it’s usually better to leave them to Sleep overnight but not sure with Mac Mini 😂😅

Just bought the 8/512 this afternoon.

Planning to pair with Xiaomi 34" curved monitor via HDMI.

Bought the Magic Keyboard also since I had RM50 off at Machines so it was either that or the Magic Mouse...

Will probably reuse an existing mouse to see how it goes since it's my first MacOs product in a very long time. The last time I was exposed to an Apple PC was many years ago and I wasn't used to the commands etc.

Bought a USB-C hub also for use and shall report back on how it turns out.

Hi all. Just wondering it is best to take the mac mini now or should I wait for sept/oct, just in case the refresh model will be coming out? but according to internet, the mac mini m2 wont happen until 2023 at least.

mainly light surf net, basic office and maybe a bit of photo touchup. gonna plan to scale down my desktop due to underutilized

i did some reading... M2 seems a bit issue
some Youtuber solve it by changing thermal paste
but yeah.. that one is on laptop. mybe for mac mini different stories

I am looking to change my Dell XPS 15 to Mac Mini, mainly for photo and video editing, but not too sure is M1 16gb sufficient or not... no budget for the mac studio
