seems like your are heavily dependant on windows. why not just stick with windows? or perhaps the surface book 4?

wait till you get the laptop and test it out if it gets too warm before deciding/think of this..

I almost never feel it getting too warm before.. only recently when I noticed "notes" somehow keeps using 60-70% of the cpu (some bug), it gets warm.
