QUOTE(NubPro @ Nov 11 2020, 11:58 PM) The MBP is targeted for pro-user, they will need a laptop capable of doing high workload task like compiling programs, rendering videos etc. Just hope MacBook Air won’t have desolder issue like the old MacBook 12’, even low spec celeron laptop w/o fan have this issue after long timeThese types of workloads demands for a powerful chip. To achieve this, the MBP needs to have a higher thermal budget to work with and with that, it is capable of ramping up to a higher clock speed and the ability to sustain peak performance consistently for a long period. I believe the MBA will bursts out its peak performance only for a short period of time and throttle afterwards, otherwise the heat will start to build up. |
