QUOTE(mr-2 @ Jun 6 2024, 08:29 AM) I was reading some stuff on the SSD for Macbook and seem there is a life span of only 5 years or SSD worn from swapping/copying huge data (250GB - 150TDW / 500GB - 300TDW). Whichever come first. As my understanding, once the SSD fails, the MacBook is bricked since no external bootable device able to boot it up with apple security lock down. Can reach out to iboff mat on fb, this price as ot march 2024:Which got me concern, since the SSD chip is soldered on the mainboard and is proprietary. This also will make me think twice to backup my iPhone to this MacBook. Is there any third party can fix and replace the M1 ssd? If yes, any idea how much it cost? 8TB / 4TB / 2TB / 1TB SSD Storage Upgrade for M3 / M2 / M1 / Ultra / Max / Pro ..... M1 / M2 / M3 : 500GB RM950 1TB RM1050 (retail RM1600) 2TB RM1599 (retail RM3200) ..... M1 Pro/Max, M2 Pro/Max, M3 Pro/Max / Ultra: 1TB RM1599 2TB RM1899 (retail RM2400) 4TB need to inquire 8TB need to inquire ..... Semua size SSD ada 1 tahun warranty dari iBoff RCC SSD lama kita akan buat KEYCHAIN(while stock last - gambar) .... FAQ: 1. Ini ikut pengalaman kita for the past 6 months. Kalau guna 4 NAND atau 8 NAND, lagi banyak NAND guna & nak solder, lagi mahal lah harga. .... 4. Tiada flux residue, loose components etc. ..... 8. ..... 9. Boleh tanya untuk kita tambah. |

QUOTE(Nuke @ Aug 12 2025, 01:19 PM) My macbook screen is broken and I'm thinking to replace it now. Asked authorised apple dealer and they quoted more than RM2k so a bit pricey for me. Checked in the shopee and found a replacement part from China so I need a suggestion whether to replace the entire screen or just LCD panel? I read the review some said if you want a true tone back then just need to replace LCD panel only. Any suggestion? if in klang valley can search machanic technologies and get quotation. then can decide |
