Apple called just now, said my MBA is ready for collection, quite fast indeed only take 2 days. Let see what they replaced, hopefully they don touch the logic board or else all my data gone..

Casual browsing, Netflix for movie, and some graphical statistical works

Office work. Mainly using the Office app like Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
After 2 month, I think I want to go back to windows LOL.
So many advance feature is missing on the Office for Mac. But the superior battery life and the trackpad experience is holding me back.
If Windows machine can challenge that, I will definitely going back.

I'm using macbook pro now, its from company. I'm going to leave the company soon. So im thinking to get a macbook air since many reviews say it perform close to a Pro.

Anyone mind sharing how is the heat management? I mainly use for microsoft offices, but I always have it on overnight to farm AFK in Ragnarok X (game App from App store).
I doubt without a fan it can stay cool overnight.

Try using WPS.
I find it much user friendly compared to M.Office for MacOS environment. Been using this for many many years.

My colleague uses a mba m1 base model and only use it for basic stuffs like google email and Microsoft office, ever since she used it 6 months ago she never looked back at windows/intel…this is her first apple device and she has not used even an iPhone before, she say it’s just simple to use and the battery is fantastic over any of her previous windows laptop..

But these are quite subjective imo, very much depends on personal preference and past experience..

I definitely prefer to use MS Office on Windows rather than Mac. MS Office on Mac are not exactly the same as Windows version and miss some features. I don’t notice speed issue though.

I don't think Microsoft release the M1 compatibility for Office yet. I believe it's using Rosetta which is why you're not getting the most outta it.

What if you use the built in productivity tools Mac given and then export it as Office format?
