Does anyone have this issue where the Globe key (Fn) stops responding and no longer switches between languages after a period of time?

Restarting or logging out helps restore it but I just can't seem to find the relevant setting for it.

i encounter once, my globe key set to Emoji key, but emoji just dont appear anymore. tried restart still same. Ignore this problem since its not important to me.

but then one day it automatically works again, so.... its a bug?

Yeah. I type in English and Mandarin quite a bit so the Globe key was a real time saver. Not too sure why it just stops responding every now and then. Seems fine today.

Like you said, could be a bug.

Looks like Apple is releasing a small update for the USB-C hub damage issue. I tried checking software update but I haven't seen the update yet.

Glad to hear that. Although I've been charging mine through a UGREEN hub with PD for more than 2 months with no issues.

But I stopped doing that after reading the news...

Hopefully this fixes it once and for all.

Guys, plan to get M1 Air and came across the news about SSD excessive write issue.

Is it going to be fixed in OS updates/hotfix etc sometime in the future?

It's most probably blown out of proportion.

1. It's happening on Intel macs too
2. SMART monitoring is not necessarily accurate, or may not be optimised in this instance so take the results with a pinch of salt
3. People tend to forget that Apple has been working on ARM processors and SSD storage in iPads and iPhones for a long, long time before the M1 came about
