Wife convinced me to make the jump.
Will be collecting my Pro Max Pacific Blue 256GB on the 15th at Machines.

Might do some simple unboxing and extensive test with the camera To see how it can fit with my pre production workflow.

I'm wondering if there's any app that can make use of the Lidar sensor to visualize shooting set with lighting, etc. At least from what I read the measure app quite accurate now.

Honestly the Mini is quite tempting with the size and features. Too bad they just have to bait us with the sensor size.

This will be my first iOS device and I don't have my own Apple ID, only from work.

Normally what's the procedure when picking up from Machines? Do I need to have and Apple ID in advance for device and warranty activation?

I'm not planning to use the phone immediately on pickup.

Just picked up my Pro Max Pacific Blue from Machines The Curve.
Still overwhelmed by all the cases choice so just bought a simple Ghostek Covert4 there for RM79 until I can decide on a more permanent case.

I think in most android phones that I used before, you just swipe down all the way and the connection name is right under the WiFi toggle which is way more efficient.

This is my first time I use iOS and I noticed that there are some things that is quite good in terms of UI/UX, but when it comes to technical settings and info, iOS tend to hide them a bit deeper in the menu. Hope there's a way to get around this limitation.

Example: In my previous Blackberry Priv and Huawei P20 Pro, a halfway swipe will show the control centre equivalent. A full swipe will display more details such as connection name and the expanded shortcuts like hotspot toggle with just 1 action.

In iOS, I have to swipe, hold tap WiFi icon, and tap hotspot toggle. so 3 actions, quite inefficient.

Buuut I'm an iOS virgin so maybe there's a workaround that I havent's found yet.
