I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this.
Can I know where I can find the law for video recording or if someone have the information to share?
The reason I am asking is because it occurred to me if I am recording a video in a public place. There are people who walk pass. After I posted the video, one of the passerby ask me to bring down the video cause he don't want to appear in that video However, the video is not about him. It is about me but he happen to be in the background.
In some countries is it okay because you only need consent from 1 party to make video recording. But in some country you need consent from everyone who appeared in the video. Else need to blur the face. So what's the rules like in Malaysia?

QUOTE(kuntilanak @ Nov 9 2020, 02:42 PM) why not just mosaic the things that can identify any passerby? Cause it will be a lot of work to do this on each and every video you post. What if things like IG and other quick videos you take? Or for any general people taking video for their own IG or facebook? Not everyone have the time to edit videos.
