It's not that unbelievable. They're surprised of course when Frieza transformed first time, cuz he was dam weak last time compared to now. It's not weird to be surprised at someone suddenly so strong, enough to fight SSJ3. SSJ3 is a very big deal. The laser blast is lame, i understand that. I have no argument. He said he couldn't really remember how to transform into SSJ even. But Frieza had powered up anyway. His first form is probably SSJ2 level. And Gohan that time was just SSJ1. Piccolo losing to Dodoria level enemy was the ultimate shock for me. Piccolo was never the Gohan type, I wonder why he became so weak...
