As above, want to replace the nut of my guitar, can anyone suggest in the areas above? Checked with Guitar Store MK but needs a week, was hoping for faster like 2 days maybe.

Thanks

Replacing the nut on a guitar can be done within minutes/hours, especially if the nut is a preshaped and slotted TUSQ nut for popular production electric guitars (Fender/Squier Strat/Tele, Gibson/Epiphone LP/SG etc.) and you could DIY.

Which guitar are you using?

For the expert yes, newbie here, hv an old guitar I bought sometime back and kept in the bag, since cmco, wanna pick up again.
The brands Tanger, I don't think it's in production anymore, it's solid Engelman top and Ovangkol sides.

Sounds like a nice acoustic guitar.

You could try Woh Fatt Music House at Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin (formerly known as Jalan Silang) - https://g.co/kgs/2wppq8
They should have an assortment of spare nuts (different sizes) which may be a suitable replacement nut for your Tanger guitar.

If you’re staying in PJ, try contacting Qwenkay PJ https://qwenkay.com/contact_us to enquire if he might have a suitable replacement and if he’s able to replace it for you.

Of course, you could try all the usual places like Bentley Music, Guitar Collection, Music Bliss to check if they have the right sized preshaped and slotted acoustic guitar nut.

A few LYN forumers had acoustic guitar repairs done by Doc Grenggg and John Lau and Ray C (Guitar Hospital) etc.

Hope that helped? Please do let us know how it goes?
