I used to own one from Shiseido, used it for 7 years till I lost my makeup pouch. I never changed the rubber, just cleaned it once in a while, never curl it after applying mascara so i guess that made it last longer.

I tried my friend's Shu Uemura's also just as good as my old one, but I was tight on budget so I bought some chip=plak one from a shop like Chameleon and it works just fine.

Mind you I don't have funny looking 90 degrees lashes and people always ask if my lashes naturally curly so that means cheap stuff also can work just practice. And also look at the rubber and the piece of metal on top before you buy it, those thin looking metal sure give you 90drgrees curl.

Wah like essay!

Isit neccessary to use curlers if your eyelashes are originally curled?
