Bemax has taken over Peugeot from Naza. It's already been a while, why is it struggling to get it foot on the floor?

Service & warranty claims still seem to be an issue!

It has taken them a while to bring Mazda where it is here in Malaysia , so I guess we just have to be a bit patient

Soon. There have been sightings of the new 508 and 2008 OTR on a couple of occassions, hopefully they are in the final stage of testing for local conditions.

The new logo is much like the one used in 1960. Take A closer look.

Personally I prefer the 2010 emblem. That appears bold in character!

The lion on two hind legs was the theme from 1948 to 1959 then from 1976 to 2020 (for 55 years altogether) while this roaring lion in the shield theme is only used from 1960 to 1975 (15 years) .

I like the fact it is given another chance. Certainly I believe it is an upmarket yet keeping in the long history brand move.

Some say it reminds them of Lamborghini logo but I think it also remind me of the roaring Jaguar face on the front grill of Jaguar's.

Hopefully Kia finds a proper distributor. Kia products have made a somewhat upmarket shift of late, the Stinger, new Sorento and K5 seem to have earned rave reviews over in the States. Plus, the recently launched K8 looks really good.

Would love to see them on our shores, at a reasonable price of course.

Like the article say, even the transfer to new distributor is held up ...

QUOTE
The Kia franchise handover is taking longer than normal because of the involvement of more companies and the additional due diligence processes.

On top of the sales and distribution franchise, a Malaysian party understood to be an independent motor distributor backed by Bermaz Auto Bhd group is keen to invite the South Korea-based Kia Motor Corporation (KMC) to invest in Malaysia as a regional auto manufacturing hub.

Until the new importer-cum-franchise holder is announced, Naza-Kia remains the official franchise holder for Kia cars sold in Malaysia.
Will Kia Korea, as invited , invest in Malaysia as a regional auto manufacturing hub?

So don't hold your breath for it.

Still no sign of the 508 and 2008. The 508 is a 3 year old car in some parts of the world. I think they’re only doing a mistake by delaying it

The expected price of RM121,131 is unbeliveable. I'll be surpised if its's priced cheaper than the passat laugh.gif

Very likely an under estimation on Zigwheels part. Won't be the first time that they were wrong.
