Back then SAF tries to rebuild the team post-Roy Keane but things did not work it out especially on midfield area that SAF still needs to depend on the old horses (Scholes, Giggs).

Yes United got Ronaldo, Rooney, Park Ji Sung, Tevez but after 2009 things not going so well(especially challenging Champions League)

With Anderson, Tom Cleverly, Oberton, Gibson, Welbeck, Jones, Smalling heck even United bought Bebe.

The only decent United bought was Carrick and Owen(injury prone)

SAF can't do much when Glazer started to show his stinginess after 2009 until 2012 the only biggest spend was Van Persie

To be fair in Ajax VDB never play Bruno role but when he came to Man Utd he just plays twice on Bruno position

VDB always on Pogba position, CM not AMF

By criticise VDB, is just like criticise Wan Bissaka play as a CB

And stat never lie VDB is 86% passing accuracy which he plays difference position while Pogba stay at the same position just manage to get 83% passing accuracy

Pogba has been in EPL 4 years (not including his youth time), while VDB just not even half-season play many positions

I'm not trying to make comparison Pogba and VDB but Pogba should better than that but Pogba with the price tag £89.3 million while VDB is just half of it around £40million bangwall.gif
