I beat my diabetes. Was diagnosed a type 2 3 years ago when my hba1c reading was 10. Started on pills. Back then was obese at 75kg and age 34. Very down and depressed especially when I think of my future with my family and kids.
Started controlling my diet. No rice or noodles, only meat and vege. Dinner drink soup and eat fruits. If hungry at night, small glass of wine or chia seeds before going to bed.
Started running as exercise. That time do 1km also feel like want to die. Pace only 7-8 min per km. Whole body no energy and feel very miserable but told myself I need to do this for my future.
Continue to do this for 1 year. Start seeing results after 6 months. Weight dropped to 68kg and hbA1c return to normal.
Today, I run 5km per day with 5-6 min per km pace. Total distance every month around 100km. Hba1c reading at 5, already stopped medication for 1 year. Weight at 61kg. Feeling healthier than ever and hardly fall sick. I resume eating normally and measure blood every week. All normal.
Trust me, u can do it. You just need to have a very strong will.
