Likely no reverse, just eat well / balanced.

How severe your diabetes ? I know a guy take morning  and afternoon jab of insulin and daily.

Try keto and/or Intermittent fasting. You can check out Jason Fung on Youtube. He's got alot of good information regarding metabolic syndrome.

My brother was pre diabetic. He switched over to keto and he's totally medication free right now.

Mainly control diet. Whether able to cure would be depending on the individual and how severe was their diabetes before making those lifestyle changes.

Not a good idea even if few years no need take medication go back to old lifestyle and eat without a care in the world. It was that previous lifestyle that caused the problem. Better stick to new lifestyle and medication free.

Actually with the right lifestyle it's not so bad. Many food can still eat. Combine with some proper exercise can increase flexibility of consuming more carbs.

Take this as an opportunity to live a more healthy lifestyle. I tried the keto diet for 6 months and doing low carb now. Highly sustainable lifestyle.

Be carefull. I heard keto is not good for your kidney.
