No prob in receiving sms when vowifi is enabled... Except your r in airplane mode. Samsung phone.

By right it should work just fine with airplane mode right? Because I am still on vowifi. Correct me if I am wrong.

Other Telco no prob in receiving sms in airplane mode( Digi & umobile), but Donno why this maxis is cacat a bit.

I'm using Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, I insert my friend's DiGi SIM card to my phone and VoWiFi is working fine.
However, my Maxis VoWiFi is not working on my phone.
Strange is, when I insert my Maxis SIM card to an iPhone, VoWiFi is working!

So, is my phone actually support VoWiFi? If not, why DiGi SIM card's VoWiFi working fine in my phone?
Is there many VoWiFi standard available in the market?

Just port in one of my Digi number to hotlink, indeed Hotlink VoWifi cannot receive SMS when airplane mode is on.
Hope they will improve it to be on par with Digi Vowifi experience

Yes infact Maxis Vowifi only works when your signal is bad other wise it will be on 4g. Digi and Umobile can work on any signal strength which is a plus point.

My vowifi is activated even the signal bar showed I had 4 bar.

Yes, maxis vowifi is cacat since the 1st day. Other Telco can receive sms when airplane mode is on.

What phone are you using? I tried if 3-4 full bar Vowifi wont activate unless it drop to single or two bar then vowifi will activate.

Samsung note 10, vivo v20.

check the setting "Calling Preference" options wi-fi preferred / mobile network preferred

Removed. Need update to android 12 to support wifi calling

2024 now, Maxis VoWiFi available while roaming or not?

Naaa VoWiFi outside malaysia still not available for Maxis and Celcom, for now available with digi, U, and Yes not sure for Unifi

Yeahh its troublesome. I have sg vpn enabled in my router for all the devices connected to my home wifi. Vowifi is not usable for my maxis mobile.

Anyone here tried to use VoWifi overseas and answer a call or call out?
I can connect VoWifi for my hotlink while overseas. But didn’t try to call/answer call. Not sure will charge roaming call or local call like U Mobile. Not dare to try coz high charges.

To be safe, try with airplane mode and connected wifi, if VoWiFi shows take a screenshot and test call to 123. If unexpected charges occur you can show an evidence with Maxis while file a complaint.
