As per title. This will be my first car and can't decide.. Plus points (not listed in order)

Honda City V:
+ More tried and tested
+ Probably lower maintenance cost
+ Android Auto and Apple Car Play
+ Spacious interior and boot
+ Paddle shifters
+ Higher resale value
+ Cheaper than X50 Flagship almost RM20k

X50 Flagship:
+ Latest ADAS technology, almost self driving, complete safety suite (360 camera, front sensor)
+ Pretty full-digital instrument cluster
+ Powerful engine and transmission, better power-weight ratio (177bhp to 1.3ton)
+ Newer model to Malaysia (less boring than 5th gen City)
+ Prettier exterior and interior (IMO)
+ Electronic park brake

What do you think? Please discuss and very much appreciated.

Also considered but not keen: Vios, Almera, Civic (outside budget)

it kinda depends on your priority, for me, im looking more into maintenance cost and NVH/comfort, x50 itself is value for money but the replacement costs for that 18 inch tyre and quicker maintenance due to turbo is a turn off for me

city is great in that aspect but jury is still out on nvh and ride, previous gen was quite bad

Seems many people are voting RS Hybrid.. may I know why? Many saying resale value is a concern and maintenance cost if electrical components break down is high.

I like the torque but I am worried about highway performance.. 98hp engine doesn't inspire a lot of confidence tongue.gif

haha! ironically im looking into vios/yaris the most now, but i'll never forgive myself if i drive the current vios/yaris design, to me its unacceptable. nevermind, i will wait for the facelift which is rumoured to come in december hehe
