If you have some old spoilt Bit Char-G lying around, you can try using the gears and motors from them in your Q-Steer.

No ads on my blog so shouldn't be a problem.
IMO Bit Char-G motors use too much power, and slows down even when the same battery can be use to power the regular q-steer motor at max speed.
I've settled on using the bit charg's gears (i think its same gear ration as the q-steer "high speed" gears for both my q-steers and using the blue cap motor from my spoilt Hornet.
