Got an email today saying my application from last December got "kuiri" (aka rejected) cos I supposedly "didn't upload the supporting documents in time" (cos I sent those in a seperate email). So I managed to call them, clarified what's going on, and sent in a new online application.

Now on the website, there's a thing where you can directly upload the necessary supporting documents instead of sending a seperate email like an idiot. Here's hoping lah.

Fler on the phone checked my account on his end and saw the claim I did for my parents (with their old IC numbers) and was told that you can't do the claim for other people (say parents) cos it'll be rejected. (Which my mum found out the hard way when I relayed the rejection letter to her )

If they want their moneys, they have to sign up for the eGUMIS themselves or do it manually...?

Checked again this year; got unclaimed money.

So submitted the documents (mostly top of bank statement, copy of IC front and back) online, got an email saying it's in process.

Got money already, yay!

You (as third party) cannot claim for them under your username/account unless you register the eGUMIS accounts and do the legwork (in manner of speaking) for them.

Was just on the phone with the WTD people...

Apparently if you want to claim bank draft money, you need to at least go to the listed bank and ask for confirmation letter (I think you just tell them it's for WTD, they should know how to proceed?).

You can upload that same letter for all 3 requested documents in the top Empunya section, but you gotta change the file name for each upload to get around the old bank draft nonsense (cos who still has copies of old bank drafts lying around?). You also gotta mail them the original letter, it seems (but make a copy for your keeping).

My dad has one of these, but knowing him, can't push him to pursue (also not that much), so I'm passing this info on here.
