I just looking for pc audio speaker system. Should i take S350DB or S730?
Mainly use for listening to music, watching movies & gaming as well.
i cant find any shop in penang area for me to listening 1st before i pull the trigger.

Any1 can help me decide.

some harvey norman carries S350DB maybe is a good idea to check if they have display unit for you to audition.

S730 will outperform on its bass and would be able to play louder
S350db gives bluetooth connectivity and maybe better clarity but restricted by placement as they r not using standard connection like S730 does.

i already go to ikea batu kawan harvey norman for a walk last sunday, but couldn't findn any edifier series speaker display unit for me to audition.

For S350DB, the main satellite need to be connected using 9 pin vga (alike) cable to subwoofer. If you are not going to place subwoofer far from your right speaker then its fine. If you are going to place subwoofer far from S350DB, then you might want to consider S360dB to gives more flexibility in the placement for subwoofer.

For S730, you run by speaker cable, it can let u run longer for more placement option. Even the original speaker cable length is not enough, you can easily buy outside and replace it.

how about this 2 model sound wise, which is more better or can say is more suitable for me to put in a double story master bedroom?

if you play music > movies i will recommend get S350dB. Movies > music then S730

FYI, Im using it as my home theater. It can get pretty loud but the bass is the main pro of S730. I dont think you want this sort of rumbling bass in your bedroom.

Well, I tried it in a smaller 10sqft room before and I don't find it enjoyable.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, S730 main pro is the subwoofer. At low volume, I'm afraid the sub will over power the satellites. Just as a reference, I never used my S730 lower than 28 on the volume control. On lower volume, I felt a mismatch between the satellites and subwoofer. Maybe it's because I'm lazy to readjust the settings everytime, thus I used the settings I preferred on 40 volume (I tend to blast them) and just play with the volume only.

I had a couple of speakers before (Altec Lansing ACS48 80w 2.1, Edifier R2800, Edifier S2000 Pro (first gen) and S730. I liked the S2000 Pro and ACS48 best for my 10 sqft room. They filled the room, loud but not too annoying.

The other advantage of S730 is the flexibility to make it a HT instead which is what I had done. Before I bought it, I already expected it to rumble but wasn't sure to what extent. I had metal office table in my room which wouldn't stop shaking with the S730.

I would suggest you go for an audition first before deciding. It's hard to choose since the price is so close for both of them.

S360db (your can choose this instead of S350db) is flexible because it has a wireless sub that you can choose to turn off when you want to listen to music leisurely and turn on when you want to watch movie, play games for a lil extra umph.

Previously many buyers bought and sold their S730 because they couldn't fully utilize it's potential which I fully agreed. It even filled my L shaped living room (11ft x 22ft plus 10 sqft) easily even at 40 volume. I'm not sure how loud or your music preference thus it's better to just get an audition just to be safe.

i would like to go for audition, but i was unable to find the place where there got the demo set in penang area.
so sad

last thing before you made up your mind.. do you have small kids? S350 / S360 are coverless, they do not have protection over their drivers except for tweeters. S730 however, has those protective covers. If you have kids in the room, you may want to ensure they dont poke ur driver.

i din have any kid for now and i still single and staying with my parents only.

its difficult in your case, maybe you can pm edifier here and check with them if they have any authorized retailer in Penang.
I bought my s350db without demo but by online review and youtube review. For your case s730 seems to be a bit old to do side by side comparison with S350db/S360DB.

i think s730 is better. it has more more. the low bass is nice but lacks of mid bass of the satellite speaker. it use sealed enclosure sub. s350db use ported sub enclosure that sometimes got turbulence problem. so the s730 got better bass. while s350db got better mid bass & treble. now im suing s370 for music, gaming & ht. Next upgrade will be full size hifi system. for me this s730 really worth to buy. the sub really good & enough power for deep rumble bass. my room 12' x 18'.

Great stuff. I really love it. Connected to pc with nice audio output. Great for music, ht, gaming & looks. Quite old but still great till today. last time im looking for cambridge soundworks 650D but too hard to find. This one is similar to it. I just replace the power ic & few capacitor. Suitable for bassy music. Only lack of mid range. Maybe can fix that with using other satellite speaker..

need to check the cross over bro.. its a common issue for 2.1. my s350db also, part of the low mid range goes to the sub, male deep vocal missing sounded very thin.. the best solution is to get airpulse series then add on active sub..

Edifier has been pushing their S2000MKIII as well as their airpulse series though if you wanna get their high end specs.
