QUOTE(toughnut @ Nov 26 2007, 09:28 AM) try GMXT for few days. here's my opinion: 1. very sensitive (accurate in some manner), that's why rotating it when u stop at junction will cause u to drive backway or sideway lol 2. quite slow to lock, probably due to above reason 3. software kinda sluggish compare to nokia2go and mapking 4. searching is a pain in da @$$ 5. kinda free if u know where to get the map (free map) 6. use google.com @chicaman u should be able to browse the map without GPS device. I installed, but where do i place the maps, i place in E:/garmin folder but i still cant see those map Added on November 26, 2007, 12:37 pmgarmin is eww.... hard to navigate but location name, streets name is precise.... compare to nokia map...... searching places is difficult..... the My location is sux lol..... QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Nov 26 2007, 04:07 PM) hmmmm N73. which state are you at? N5 24.904 E100 19.831 use this as your co-ordinate if you're from penang you shldbe able to see the map if you still can't then must have installed improperly. i can see the map already i installed mapbase, can see whole world.... lol but when i wana search for a place, example for address, it prompt us to spell state. but none found.

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Nov 26 2007, 04:20 PM) do not use addresses the malsing maps does not support it if i'm not mistaken i normally search using 'spell name' located in food,hotels....... alternatively you could get MapSource and search for the addresses you want, add a waypoint there, and transfer to your device. You can view it under extra, custom POI how to set default location, everytime it shows at taiwan by itself...... spell name shows none also

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Nov 26 2007, 04:28 PM) http://www.malsingmaps.com/wiki/index.php/...ot_or_Nuvi_GPSrit teaches you here search for your home location, after that save that location as 'my location' once you added go to 'tools' go to manage my data go to my location select the location you just saved select change location select use current location next time when you view map, you'll see it. do check it out and read the wiki above btw which map is the latest one?
