recently i try on HIIT but a bit worry on my Heart rate. (my HR is high, resting around 70-80)
i do 10 set 3:1. (max 90 second, Rest 30 second) (it hit my HR limit base ages calculations) (3 times this week, every alternate day).

Decent body shape not over weight (177cm/71-72kg).
i love sport (i do extreme sport too) but due to C5/c6/c7 injury i stop pushing it for sometime (6-7 year), now try to pick it up (atleast maintain my health).

My last 5 year sport history (after recover):
Speed walking (5 KM daily, but i hate raining and haze day)
Martial Art. (in and out, as my back doesn't work as it used to be)
Swim (lately difficult, due to covid n rain)
Hiking.
Kiting.

Device for my HR:
i use polar H10/h7 chest strap (have others device too but i prefer chest strap during workout).

Pls share ur thoughts and graphs pls.
* I upload my later.

Today I try different approach :
10 set 2:1 (60s : 30s), last 5 set 1:1 (60s each).
Seem like my hr much stable.

It will improve on a weekly basis.

Instead of diving into a hiit set that is too taxing on the heart, try something easier first.

When the body and heart get used to it, then try harder than last time, you will see the bpm at max and rest gradually drop.

Well if you are feeling comfortable, then it is fine.

Though it really does depend on intensity. A 10/10 effort (trying to break previous record) will spike your HR a lot more than regular.

But yeah, the chart looks ok, kipidab biggrin.gif

base on HR calculator (220-age), i 'm slight over max HR, that my concern.
I know i still can go further (still not reaching limit) but MAX HR reach/slight over MAX. so not sure should i continue this or go back normal cardio workout.
