Is there any different this version and v625?
*
Not much difference, V625 is for sure better then your V606, so try first.
Choose good HDR10 video clip and adjust your picture setting, also can follow rtings for S535 as smaelz83 noted.
In post #20 you have also video clip for pic setting.

Did anybody successful enable Dolby Atmos on external soundbar with TCL-C716?
I have a Samsung HW-Q900T, so far I am only able to get 5.1 on Netflix app or Netflix (Kodi).

Currently, Netflix app on TCL C716 can't get Atmos. They said after upgrade to Android 11 (dunno when) then Netflix can enable Atmos on C716.
This apps I manage to get Dolby Atmos on TCL C716:

Prime Video: Jack Ryan
HBO Max: Godzilla vs Kong

I use new Chromecast with Google TV to get Atmos on Netflix.

Hi all.
Done reading from 1st post till the end.

I'm evaluating 65" Hisense U800QF & TCL C716.
On surface i know both using Qled, about same price bracket. I cannot find direct comparison between these 2 model. VIDAA 4 on Hisense Android TV on TCL, local dimming on Hisense.

From my interpretation, U800QF should be the better specs between 2.

Would like to hear what u guys think, especially from bro STASIO. I might leanr something from anyone opinion, from different angle.

Sorry to be busy body here.
In my opinion is matter of taste.

In youtube alot of comparison between Hisense and TCL tv due to the pricing and specifications offered.

Typically Hisense seem like providing higher spec in paper but come to actual use you have to consider Hisense color is too vivid and also brighter.
I find it somewhat make human lips 💋 colour look funny (atleast on my old 49K300UW).

Since you are asking here TCL thread, I would ask you to consider Android TV from TCL has better support and upgrade then Hisense and the rest of branding.

Importantly is
It is matter of your taste, I would prefer Android TV.
My Hisense dont have any update with VIDAA and the OS do have very limited app or functionality.

Lastly QLED and LED, that not really a big advantage to many. In technical it has more smaller LED (not the controller) that give you better contrast between true black and bright area. In which QLED should give you lesser bright shadows.
In most case you even wont notice.

Just my 2 cents here. It is okay to disagree with it.

For others who read this, just to share with you if are considering P715 & C716.
I owned a C716 for few months now, and recently I have replaced my another Hisense TV with P715.
I cant really can observe any different between P715 and C716 on my usage with Netflix, youtube, IQIYI and WETV.
P715 locate in bedroom and C716 in living room.
My conclusion QLED is not really a must have specification.

It's different TV all together. Hisense U800QF is a FALD Qled TV with high peak brightness and TCL C716 is a Qled TV without FALD and much lower peak brightness. What I dislike is Hisense is not an Android TV. Hisense U800QF is a better TV for HDR content and also more expensive...around 1k price difference.

You are always welcome to busybody 😀
OS is one of the considerations, but I didn't weight it too much on decision making. I just need plex, youtube, Netflix. & easily hook with android box for android TV, if the Vidda outdated.
Both supported HDR standard seems equal.

Both model got quantum dot , hence my comparison.
How good is U800QF local dimming, I really don't have experience to comment, my best relative conparison is rtings on H9G (assume close to that model)

Colorwise, I believe TV model at this range can be fine tune so some extend. Idk,

Thanks for the input. So if OS & the price different is not a concern, which of these two is you take?

The support & firmware update is why I am considering C716. I only knew got so support & update frequency from your post in this thread.
By any chance, have you come across support site for U800QF?

Btw, to who may concern, I come from 5yo panasonic FHD smart TV with chromecast v2. No HRD, no 4K. So both 2 model above is a huge jump from current position.
I'm audiophile, so TV sound sound quality is not major concern (but welcome addition for lower power consumption) as it is connected to receiver & 5.1 setup.
So im intention is to replace this TV & forget about upgrade urge for another 5years.

Depending on your use case...if you always watch 4k HDR content...go for Hisense.
But Sony X9000h or X9500H will be a better choice if I have to make a decision within the RM 5K bracket and these choices are only limited to LED LCD TVs...

As for my case, I had set my budget not exceeding RM 4k for a 65" TV...so I bought C716..

If I am paying 5K RM, then I will be getting the 65” Sony X90H. Sony X90H is getting rave reviews in USA for picture quality and color accuracy. Also top rated for reliability for mid range TV. Most importantly for me is the Sony TV is powered by Android TV.

Also will get 3 years extended warranty as nowadays TV will start breaking in 2-3 years (my LG TV started having panel issue after 2 years and fixing it cost 1K++). My rule of dump is any TV purchase above 5K should have warranty extended to 5 years (with 3 years extended warranty).

Note: You should not assumed your new TV will always last 5 years as I did.

New test firmware has been posted....V999.018609.
After testing end up to flash back previous V999.018486 ,as this release is to buggy.
Even local update can't operate,so placed OTA zip file on USB and flashed by holding TV power button.
Luckly all apps,setting stay.

Guys, I know this is TCL QLED thread, what do you guys think about their normal UHD TV lineups, any good? Looking for something that's decent to replace my parent's TV (some chapalang FHD tv).
Currently looking at 55' TCL UHD, non QLED. QLED would be a waste for my parents I guess, they wont really care about that small difference the real black/red etc.

Budget is variable, and I think the OS isnt that important since Ill be hooking up an AppleTV anyway.

Seems third party video/audio apps got problem to work (hang, crash), as SmartTubeNext for me.

Seems they change something in video and audio codec.
