me too, added both in cart but i think will choose TCL brand in the end

Gut feeling buy, hoot TCL C728 for S$1149 for 55 inch. Hope it last me at least 5 yrs.

Just updated my C725 with firmware V468. GTV much smoother compared to V418.

Gboard was not available for selection after I select English (US) during GTV setup process but after I change to English (England), Gboard is available again. No idea why

Picture and sound settings are retained but apps all need to manually reinstall. I can see new apps Stan. and RakutenTV in the new firmware but can't be used in MY.

After used V674 on C716 for about a month, I decided to revert back to ATV9 with V662 since users give feedback that this version is snappier.

Last night I flashed it and after reinstalling all apps, I feel the snappier feeling. The play protect section give my TV certified again. No audio delay issue found. No losing bluetooth remote connection after enable quick start.

However, if watching terrestrial channel, dolby audio is low in volume until I change channel and the audio is loud again.

I always disable apps which in not possible to run in MY or I am not intend to use.

What's the difference between normal IMG firmware and custom IMG firmware?

Really don't understand why TCL don't want to release OTA....

Custom version addresses some particular issue for certain regions or issue from customers complain.
Latest OTA is V418, a way behind......

lol i thought i'm the only one having the bluetooth remote connection issue. But i guess i'll stick with v677; as the issue just minor IMHO and not that frequent.

However,
If you want your apps and data be untouched, need to update with V660 OTA file.
If you are interested in Android 11 and have Atmos in Netflix, need to flash V674 or V677 IMG file.
