I vote yes to replace Sepang to other circuit. No preferences on which circuit, up to admins and seniors.

Last Saturday TV3 Remaja got interview one car accessories shop, bucket seat made in Malaysia RM500 above, forgot the name already.

There are many NFS-ian or other arcade racing gamer in malaysia, except sim racing gamer. If total up LFS and rF gamers, probably only 50++ sim racer from Malaysia.

There are many PC games car racing competition, but all are for arcade mode, like NFS series, even WCG also ran NFS series.

IMHO, there are only 1 reason why people afraid of sim racing, don't know how to do car setup. That why many people stay with arcade racing games or aids on when playing sim racing, as they no need worry about car setup.

IMHO, to promote MSR or rF, we may be can do some kind of online driving school. From here, everyone can start from basic, steps by steps to become pro racer. This concepts same like real world driving school, only different is that we do it online, use race car and rF as platform. Senior in MSR will be in charge the sessions, teach new comer, how to setup the car, what setting need to do first and etc. From there, new comers can learn from those seniors, as well improve their skills. IMHO, this will attract more people to join sim racing world and most important, MSR.

Ya, but not everyone know that, when they see sim racer can do good lap, they thought those sim racer are born to race, but in fact its not. Sim racer also like real world racers, start from basic, learn from mistakes to improve themselves.
Sharing setup is good idea, however, this will cos them don't have time or lazy to learn the car behaviors as well tracks. IMHO, sharing setup is an alternative, ONLY if you already familiar with that circuit and car.

If there is a place for them to learn and start their sim racing career, I believe they will take part.

If not mistaken, previously someone has mentioned that a car magazine publisher give us space to promote MSR right, that also one way to promote MSR and the driving school.

People can spent few thousand to mod their car, to join MSR or rF, they only spent RM140 (rFactor)+RM299 (MOMO wheel)+RM3000 (PC) = +/-RM3439. Beside, after mod the car, they only can race at Sepang (I mean legal race), while rF, they can race at any circuit around the world + any mod, F1, BMW, Honda, champ car, you name it, you get it.

Just my thought.
