Good insight madnoren. Look like its possible to achieve near real-life lap times with this update and more realistic setup tweaks....(yeap 2 cm front and rear 3 cm feels abit ridiculous in any track)

Im yet to try it tho but i believe that fastest race time is achievable. Madnoren has done it...i believe others can too.

Im concerned tho about this. I forbid arcadish ride...

Probably with a change in our tyre rules....2x tyre wear normal fuel?

I havent tried the fixed 1.8 yet.

But by reading their official release thread, the fixed 1.8 update is their last one. They are moving on with the improvements on the 2007 season.

No one has responded yet on the fixed 1.8, which the modder claims to have fixed the bump issues.

But for our league and season, the modder put up a notice for all to stick to FSONE track packs and the ISI tracks only to avoid any weird rides. Our season has only 2 non-ISI tracks, the US and Monaco. If we decide to update, then we might have to find a replacements for these two tracks.

Nevertheless...im off to test the fixed 1.8

This is how i installed the fixed 1.8

I ran rfactor and changed the mod. So i wont start on FSONE the next time. Then i deleted the FSONE.rfm and the FSONE UIDATA folder...(actually i just move it somewhere else..) then i launch the fixed 1.8 installer.

Next time i start the splash screen does say 1.8.

Then I load nurburg and load my 1.52 setup. bottoming out everywhere....jack up the ride height and stiffen the suspension to the max then no more sparks. Be more sensitive to bottoming out in this update coz its can really shave ur top speed coz ur car pressed hard on the track at high speed.

n some tweaks on the boost, suspension and bumps (stiffen them up) some wing adjustment (coz speed has increased)..after 20 odd laps im on with dzariq time mid 1.30 on 25 laps of fuel...super soft.

I reckon i would need to tweak my ctrller settings tho coz its getting a little nervous...especially on throttle. (corner exits).

I think an update for us is good but we might have to replace US and monaco.

Acid...of course it affects wear n tear...try damage 0 offline, no tyre wear and consistent lap times all around!

About the damage percentage, it only applies to 1.8.

Ooo...its the same then...

I think its up to the driving style. I see some rigourous downshifting during the practice session. I managed to drive 25 laps straight on 3 radiators and 5 boost. My downshifting is also rigourous (cos u need to be at the correct rpm into the corner as quick as possible and as late as possible) but i reduce the braking load of the engine by coupling the braking with more brakes....

But yes...we should take FSONE creator's advise to to set 25% damage for 75% race length. Admin will look into this.

That Mika vid is a perfect example of patience....even tho he was furious at schumi's very dangerous defence...he pulled back everything together and know exactly what to do next.
