QUOTE(maranello55 @ Oct 8 2007, 03:45 PM) Ermm..i dunno how u can recover an overwritten file. iI assume you didnt back it up before replacing it. I went into controler settings edid my wheel config and pedals and ffb, the file was recreated. Added on October 8, 2007, 4:46 pmIf it was the original controller.ini, i can email it to you later coz i have my original backed up. I' ll add a few words.
I joined this community back when there wasn't a dedicated server. I played for a little while, I think I ran a race or two, then a dedicated server was set up, then my pedals broke and I got too busy for a while. Then I caught "racing sim fever" again, and, what do you know... This community is still standing strong and welcomes me back with open arms, that's the result of very good people doing a very good job at keeping it alive and running. A job that doesn't pay and demands more time and effort on top of running laps and finding the perfect setup I tip my hat to you guys. I' m glad to be part of this league. I'd be even more glad if there was an easy way for me to contribute financially to run the server. My way of contributing since I'm not really good at organizing, too much of a procrastinator. I find myself playing with wheel and car setups again, over and over and what do you know, guys offer help that saves me hours of pulling out my hair. Help that brings me closer to them when they look in the mirrors, hear that engine screaming behind you? I wish this league a loooong life. Added on October 9, 2007, 12:38 pmCheck out THIS giant rfactor f1 crash. Amazing physics. This post has been edited by Penzman: Oct 9 2007, 12:38 PM |

I'll change from Midland to Toro Rosso then.
Hey in front! Watch out for the bull's horns! Also watch out at the back for what usually comes out the other end of a bull, makes corners slipperier than usual. |

And another very cool video.
Crazy kids. I've improved my times and am more regular but still crash or slip too much to my taste. That gave me the chance to practice fast recovery from spins. Awesome physics. "Scrrream you engine! Scrrrreeeeaaam!" |

Sorry, didn't make it on time yesterday. I flew to Singapore and back, raced home and got "session closed".

My Momo pedals are spiking, again.
I think one pot turns and the wires attached to the other turn the other pot slightly... Anyone found a permanent solution to this? (Apart from buying another brand of wheel This post has been edited by Penzman: Oct 23 2007, 03:37 PM |

Sorry, I'll have a read there more often.
Guys, I lost my my throttle and brake indicator and g force on screen while driving. Where did that come from? Did it come with FS One or something else I had installed? I think I may have turned it off somewhere without knowing. Any ideas? |

Lol, look at that tire flyyyy!
I didn't do it! (Bart Simpson) I stopped to pit and repair after hitting someone who spun in 1st corner. My engine overheated in pit. How do you turn the engine off for repairs and restart it when finished? How to pit for fuel but tell crew not to repair? |

I'm disappointed I was out so early. I worked a lot on laps, setup and other things this week but forgot to look up how to turn engine ON/OFF. I could have finished the race...
Oh well, next race. |

I don't use Launch Control, I've tried it, still trying it, and I don't see much difference to my starts without it. I'm also mostly starting from behind and I usually catch up behind you all at first corner. Tried it many times online in other races and seems I always get good starts without it.
Never liked Suzuka, always neglected it but fell in love with it yesterday. My first day's lap times are much closer to yours already than what I did on Bahrain which took me a few weeks. |

One thing to remember in Suzuka, slipping off the track is often easy AND fatal. really try to make an effort of avoiding the walls when out of control and get back on the track. I've crashed a lot trying different setups but took the occasion every time to make an effort to get back onto the track undamaged after many mishaps. Can be done.
Practiced a lot of driving a damaged car back to the pit as well along with entring pitting lane without speeding. The entrance is tricky and narrow. |
