Thank you. If the track is good maybe we can use it as a practise track.

Btw, mara and evo thanks for the congrats. PCC mod is the best mod for porsch so far. I'm very keen to race this mod as our special event. Thanks to Redline and Evo for putting up the server.

Looking at the pics, you need more training with traffics in order not to cause any havoc during races. Please take up this advise professionally and take the race seriously. smile.gif

Just wanna share with you guys my feelings practicing f1 at Spa last week with Evo and Ryugan. For the first time in my sim-life, the drive actually made me smile. Driving around Spa at a super-100fps instead of the sub-60fps that i was used to, plus better visuals and at the helm of one of the best mod (FSONE), with a fairly good controller, made the day for me.

Clio????

Mara you upgrade d graphics card? Or tone down a bit on details. As for me I dont run to much AA as it's FPS killer. Using X1950XT btw.

Yes, next friday is the Clio 50 laps enduro race at Varano. I will update the 1st page tomorow
*
When is it that you guys took the decision, I have no idea. We only have one mod for Clio right?

I tought the F1 season starts next week at Bahrain looking at the date, upon rechecking it's going to be next month.

Hmm, can I suggest doing a run for 1979 F1 mod the other week after Clio.

btw, PC.....ru using the native res in rfactor? if no, do u use display scaling or ur graphic card scaling? (im not sure if ATi has this feature.)
*
I'm using 1680 x 1050 native wide for rfactor. ATI has the scaling function but I figure no use since rfactor natively supports my LCD native reso.

U read my mind PC!

The third slot of special event has been given to me by Red. So i was thinking of 1979 mod on one of the new tracks and see how it fair.
*
Great mara, It has to be fast flowing track with less hairpin and kerbs to upset the car. This is how the tracks are in those times. Hopefully we can imitate those times.

I always wanted to do Nordscheilfe in a 1979 f1 car....but i always think of someone has an incident somewhere and end up racing alone for the rest of the track....no fun. But personally i think its a unique track and pose an entirely different challenge...

I was also thinking of Istanbul park....low curbs....fast flowing and see how these cars of the past follows another car through turn 8!

Nords is good but too long, I wouldnt want to race alone and I think most members here are not wiling to learn all those turns anyway. Lemans 1979 is a great track as well, shorter than nords but longer if compared to Istanbul. May I recommend Jerez 1988 or this fantastic but less spoke of Charade http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Charade%202006

The admins and advisors are on intense discussion abt it.  smile.gif

Catch the interview with MSR Season 3's champ....Pittqis on our website.  smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif
*
That's a great piece of idea. Kudos admins. On a second thought the interview was a bit short but nevertheless it fits into the main page quite well if that is your objective.

Upon looking, that F1 car BAR (referring to MSR website driver of the month banner) is my car for our next FSONE mod. Hopefully it's a good omen for me.

I'm looking forward for the replacement track, hopefully the admins took a great deal regarding the venue. Driving for 70% of the race in F1 car is pretty tiring, so hopefully the track has a good sense of immersion to keep up the interest of the driver throughout the period of the race. I trust the discretion of the admins on this one.

On a negative side, people come and go, so instead of adding to the pool of driver we actually maintain the number. But all in all a good attendance I have to say.

I have to give special kudos to people like Madnoren, maranello, evohahn and pittqis for their commitments to MSR. It makes me feel guilty if I miss an event. These guys keep the league alive and kicking.

We need to increase the participation and professionalism a bit guys, otherwise talented people like Sabelt will leave for other leagues. So I rest my case and plan to take next season FSone with full attendance and professionalism if situation is permissible.

Ya, but not everyone know that, when they see sim racer can do good lap, they thought those sim racer are born to race, but in fact its not. Sim racer also like real world racers, start from basic, learn from mistakes to improve themselves.
Sharing setup is good idea, however, this will cos them don't have time or lazy to learn the car behaviors as well tracks. IMHO, sharing setup is an alternative, ONLY if you already familiar with that circuit and car.

If there is a place for them to learn and start their sim racing career, I believe they will take part.

If not mistaken, previously someone has mentioned that a car magazine publisher give us space to promote MSR right, that also one way to promote MSR and the driving school.

People can spent few thousand to mod their car, to join MSR or rF, they only spent RM140 (rFactor)+RM299 (MOMO wheel)+RM3000 (PC) = +/-RM3439. Beside, after mod the car, they only can race at Sepang (I mean legal race), while rF, they can race at any circuit around the world + any mod, F1, BMW, Honda, champ car, you name it, you get it. tongue.gif

Just my thought. smile.gif
Ya, that the problem. If West Malaysia, MUST get from u.  tongue.gif If sent to east malaysia, what is the carrier services charge?
In East Malaysia, my friend open pc shop, hope he can offers us RM299 blush.gif Get my MOMO from him at RM299.
*
That magazine is always on, my friend is the editor of that mag. The only thing I need is time and material. It will come as long as he is still there. Just you wait for the article.

Driving aids? Maybe on practise session or special event the admin could somehow arrange something as a purpose of track learning and rfactor promotion. But first and the most important of all, I don't see the racers coming and asking questions? In order to be a part of community an effort has to go both ways. You and the organizers. You prepare your equipment such as wheel and the game, organizers prepare the platform. If you feel satisfied, by all means put in some donations as well to help the league grow.

Are we really that competitive that we scared newbies away? I don't think so. I think the newbies forgot that before we are here we have done thorough research on setting up equipment to get the best feel, seat position and finally spent countless of laps to understand the concept of sim racing which is never upset the car balance.

I can go on talking about car balance and stuffs, but what I am implying here is that if you do a bit of asking here and there we can help you. We must know the root of the problem to get an idea which direction to head in order to tackle your problem.

We all know doods from LFS drift league are talented and their participation sure help this league a lot. I'm really hoping they read this and become a part of this community. In fact we can also try few drifting sessions with them as well to learn a thing or two.

Calender is a less effective promotional product IMHO....T-shirt is great but u dont wear them everywhere and everyday. How bout car bumper stickers? Ive thought long about this...
I mean u drive everywhere and stuck in a jam and in my case, my car is so horribly ugly ppl will look at it and automatically look at the sticker as well!!  laugh.gif

A wikipedia entry...why not?

Whoa...big prob with the updated rfactor... sweat.gif

Another masterpiece from maranello. rclxms.gif

The way you strings up the chronology of events is awesome. You manage to capture the crucial moment at the same time removing unnecessary. Even though I didn't attend the race, I know what happen by looking at this quick vids.

It must have been a lot of work mate.

Evohahn, I can feel the same disappointments if I were you. We took you for granted. The job is taking a toll on you beacuse this is too much work to be done by few persons. I take up the role on Marshalling and I can take up the a few more role such as editng something here and there. Evohahn or Maranello you can enquire about my service as you like. Feel free to do so. I can write up about announcement and things like that, you guys just need to provide me the framework.

To others and myself pls keep bad unnecessary comments to ourselves. I really really hate to see Evo's gone. He is a terrific gentleman professional racer. Indeed a rare talent.

Madnoren also is not only our sponsor, but he is like a brother too. Vastly experienced and knowledgeable. Pls respect him by being proffesional. Klu dia marah it's for our own good. I dah segan lama tak donate, having few financial problems lately. Next months maybe things going to be stable a bit. So I expect to chip in next month. Hopefully Madnoren can still hold on.

To newcomers pls dont get scared by this comment, we are a lovely communites. We support each other the best way we can. But a bit tolerancy is all we need. We need you to support the admins at least mentally if not financially. That is the least one could do.

And as for the rules, I have to respect them in order for people to take me seriously. Admins work hard, so I have no qualms over their decisions. I learn to appreciate them the best way I can and hopefully so does this community.

My appeal is that for Evohahn to come back and lead us to right path. I beg for him to still lead this community for his leadership is a very rare commodity these days.

I think the introduction of realfeel FFB makes driving the F1 car simply amazing. It gives you the right feel of the car consistently under braking, acceleration and bump. Such that the tweaking of the car becomes effective because the feedback is not a fake. But before you use one, the letdown is in the understanding department of this plugin. All the numbers scares the non-analytical minds away.

It's actually very simple indeed. If the FFB seems difficult to drive adjust the FFB to reverse effect. If you have a good wheel such as G25, Momo lessen the damping effect 11500 is such a good value to prevent delays to the motor. Anyone wish to try my FFB settings should PM me.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/673454/

To dload file below, please use flashget as a dload manager to avoid corrupted files. LYN has always been this way.

For those using momo, please change this line to whatever you set in the profiler :

Steering Wheel Range="550" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel

To newcomers pls PM me if you don't understand a thing.

Pitt kadang - kadang luahan rasa itulah yang paling menyakitkan orang lain. Bezanya luahan rasa kadangkala berbaur sentimen emosional. Sentimen rasional biasanya tidak dikaitkan dengan luahan rasa. Pitt, let's us all learn to be more human, you and me. Dare to take the challenge?
