i know the battery for 80gb has more playback time compare to 30gb but i dont think i'm able to put in 30gb of music/pics/movies now but who knows in the future..

the different in price is another consideration but i got budget for 80gb

so how? anyone can convince me to get 80gb?

It depends actually. Since your consideration is more on to battery, 80GB suits you more. Well, come to think about it. You won't delete those music or movies for the next 10 years I guess? =) Just my suggestion.

im already in consideration of getting 80 gb iPod. When i 1st bought my mp3 player, i got the 20gb (not iPod though), which i thought more than enough, but thru time, it doesnt.

already planned to get one, though judging by wat rumor say, iPod 6th gen is around the corner n im goin to wait for it smile.gif

cant wait here, dont have mp3 of any kind, badly need one right now...

i too fear that later on, i'll have more stuff to put into the ipod, so i guess 80gb will b the right choice

in my opinion, 80gb is better....i mean ur music/vids library will only grow right? my 30gb is full now, have to constantly select the things i want to put in...such a hassle...

and the price is cheaper now, so it's quite a good catch...about the battery, the 30gb battery isn't bad...mine needs a recharge after 3-4 days with approx. 3-4 hours use daily (music + a couple short vids).. the only real advantage if u watch vids occasionally, i guess the 80gb longer battery will suit you more...

well i had a 30gb ipod for a while, its a very good one, actually my battery lasts longer than the claimed 14 hrs. i managed to squeeze just under 16 hrs out of mine! I tested this travelling to europe on the plane, lasts all the way through airport, 12.5 hr flight and to hotel at other end, then abit more and charge, hahaha. it was totally full as well. But that was using mostly audio playback though. I upgraded recently to an 80gb version, i havent had a chance to test the battery capacity on it yet, but i will do next week when i travel overseas again. Ipods have been excellent with me so far.

just my 0.02

cheaper? is it any cheaper than 1499? cause i dont really know about the ipod price(never ask retailer b4). i only know thru the topic here and the apple website..i assumed that ipod prices not like hp prices... is it that v can buy for less than 1499?

there are forumers selling it for 1099 for the 80gb model and as low as 855 for the 30gb model..about the warranties,u should ask them..but in the end of the day,wat matters most is your budget.but if u hav the budget,y settle for something less?
