So a bit of background, I am going to graduate in a couple of months. My degree is finance and I would like to work as financial analyst or business analyst.
What is your opinion for fresh grades, should we go to protege program in big firms or just find a job?

protege programs: a government initiative, hence most companies that are vendors of the government will be forced to offer this program as part of their contract with the gov. Generally pays RM2k/month for a one year contract. Only choose for this option if you received an offer from reputable companies/GLCs (i.e: EPF, KWAP, CIMB, Maybank, Axiata Celcom, TM, Sime Darby etc)
Management trainee programs: Individually crafted programs by each MNC/GLC. Some of the more famous ones include GMAP by Maybank. TCB by CIMB, AGP by Axiata, Nestle, Unilever etc. Usually pays RM4k-5k and very competitive application. Accepted applicants are usually groomed to be future leaders of the company

QUOTE(trexeater @ Oct 21 2020, 12:41 PM) Too bad, UTAR's career centre is practically non-existent. They dont have the connections to connect you with HRs from renowned companies

Hi TS,
I cant comment much on FA side of things but for BA its relatively generic but I suggest that you want to marry the right job or at least you know what's the path you want to take as a BA in which specific industry as well.
