Hi All,

Good day to and hope everybody is safe. At this pandemic time, I am thinking to start the courier service and taking franchise from PARCELHUB. Looking for opinion and any SIFUsss here have experience on it? Location wise its near to seremban2 area. Not KL. Is it a good idea to start it or not?

Expected start up capital : 90k
Target ROI : 25Months

Business Model : Parcelhub, courier services + packaging services.

Looking forward for any feedback and advise. Thank you in advance.

I also interest in this business as well, but unable to get further details regard the profit margin, they will only answer once we pay the RM18k. Try to get further info from them, do u have info to share as well?

Hi all,

good day to you. After making some survey and talked to a few owner i came up with a summary.

Base on RM1500-RM1700 monthly rental on the shop, you will need to reach RM15000 min of sales to cover the overhead cost without any staff. Simply because
RM1500 - rental
RM1000 - electric + water + internet + system rental
RM500 - miscellaneous .
Total overhead cost of RM3000 is to run the show. so 20% out of RM15000 is = RM3000

Hence your sales is min to be RM15000. Again in order to get RM15000 sales, estimated to be around 5000kg of parcels a month. Which is very high target.

Lazada and shopee parcel only getting RM0.30 per parcels, which is very low. unless you think you can hit corporate sales and compete with J&T then you are good go go ahead.

P/S: i might be wrong, but consulted 2 sifus owning parcel hub and both advise me to ditch the idea of it.

Hi,

May i know how much is the franchising fee? Is there any royalty fees, advertising fees, etc?

Are you based in Klang Valley?

Alternatively, you may consider CollectCo Premium Point as well. Low capital and can complement your shop to increase income and traffic.

The margin for this kind of business is very thin. I've seen businesses like this open and closed for good in shorter time. Never make it your main income for your store. Make sure to have another business running together with it like a small cafe, groceries or even be a vendor hub. Talking from my own experience.

I think that there are too many players in this section now. Even online business like Shopee created their own to reduce operation cost.

Few days ago I saw new name I've never heard or seen before but I forgot the name. Felt like the pie piece is getting too small just enough not to get hungry.

Recently I am surprised to see so many of them especially J&T outlets have closed for good. It is not sustainable long term.
