Queries why some thread is subscribed auto, some not?, how this subscribed system work?

why some thread i replied to, is subscribed automatically, and some not? even the new thread i started, sometime will be subscribed automatically, but also, sometime it dont..
how this subscribed system work? why sometime it subscribe automatic, sometime dont??

Unless you subscribe(or accidentally click) to that particular topic, I don't think you will receive any.
If you feel it annoying, click on that link that I gave earlier, and unsubscribe from there.
I don't face any problem like yours.

I think the TS is talking about this feature under Email Settings called "Enable 'Email Notification by default". Supposedly it automatically subscribes you to any topic you start/reply to.
That's the obvious stuff. But throughout year 2007, this feature only worked for me 50% of the time. E.g. I post something somewhere, then lose track of the whole thread for like 1 month because it didn't appear in my subscribed topics list.
Sure, i can check and manually subscribe each time i post, but that sorta defeats the whole purpose of that feature don't you think?
