Unker plan to purchase a couple watch for my 70+ yo parents, photo is solvil et titus from city chain watch shop, sales person offer rm1345 quite reasonable.

is okay go with quartz as automatic may incovenient, they are not watch lover but will appreciate with good workmanship,

better buy some recognizable brand for them..Seiko for instance..its a much better product anyway compared to these fashion watches with China movements

generally speaking, those old timer consignment watch stores/dealers have better range and would give u a great deal, u could possibly get a budget quartz Tissot for around the same budget..as for Seiko / Orients, those stuff are pretty much bulletsproof, even for their automatic movements, you wont need any servicing for atleast 10 years. swiss watches are bit manja in comparison.
