What you need to know:
Security personnel contracted Covid-19 from a close family member.
The staff has not reported for duty since October 9th, 2020.
The mall’s management said it had immediately conducted deep cleaning and sanitisation of the premises frequented by the employee.
2. Mid Valley Megamall & The Gardens Mall
What you need to know:
An employee at Origani tested positive for Covid-19 after a family member was exposed to the coronavirus.
The employee immediately self-quarantined and was confirmed positive on October 10th, 2020.
The employee did not exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19.
3. Bangsar Shopping Centre
What you need to know:
Bangsar Shopping Centre will be temporarily closed as a staff member at Origani tested positive for Covid-19.
The staff did not show any symptoms at the time.
Origani has immediately closed its outlet and all staff are undergoing Covid-19 testing in full compliance with the Health Ministry.
4. Setia City Mall
What you need to know:
A member of Fitness First at Setia City Mall tested positive for Covid-19.
The mall’s management said that the members of the Fitness First team on duty have taken Covid-19 tests and will observe 14-day quarantine.
Fitness First Malaysia detailed that the member last visited the gym on October 2nd, 2020 at 8pm.
5. Paradigm Mall
What you need to know:
Padini Holdings Berhad confirms that one of their staff members at Brands Outlet tested positive for Covid-19.
The staff’s last day of work was on October 2nd, 2020 and he did not have any symptoms.
6. 1 Utama Shopping Centre
What you need to know:
1 Utama Shopping Centre will be closed for one week starting today for sanitisation and screening processes to take place.
The first case from this shopping mall was from an employee working at Mac City who tested positive for Covid-19.
Later, several more positive cases were detected at the same mall within a matter of days.
7. NU Sentral
What you need to know:
The management of the NU Sentral shopping centre announced that a worker tested positive for Covid-19 on September 27th, 2020.
Immediate contact tracing was carried out and all other management staff underwent Covid-19 tests.
The mall conducted a thorough sanitisation of the whole mall area in accordance with the Safety and Health Guidelines issued by the MOH.
8. Sunway Pyramid
What you need to know:
A Nike staff outlet at Sunway Pyramid who had travelling history tested positive for Covid-19.
Sunway Pyramid Mall immediately carried out and completed deep cleaning, thorough disinfection as well as sanitisation throughout the premises.
9. The Linc
What you need to know:
A parent of a child at Trinity Kids, The Linc KL branch has tested positive for Covid-19.
The child last attended school on September 17th, 2020.
10. Suria KLCC
What you need to know:
A Babel gym member at Suria KLCC tested positive for Covid-19 on September 23rd, 2020.
Immediate contact tracing has been carried out and reports say that close contacts of the gym member have tested negative for the coronavirus.
Upon confirmation of the case, Suria KLCC mall underwent deep sanitisation and disinfection.
