New wiper most likely to skip because the rubber has some coating to protect it while waiting to be sold.I guess after a while it will go smooth. You can just buy Rain-X or anything similar to it and applied to the windshield. It will become smooth. W_Lenovo liked this post

How old is your car, happened one mine and i had replaced the wiper.
The problem went away aftr that. Over time, the spring in the wiper arm looses tension and it doesnt 'press' the wiper balde against the glass effectively. If yours is an older car, you could consider it. |

which brand of new wiper you are using? I am using cheap silicone and it is skipping after a few time using. It's fine since it is cheap. I rather not spend 10x the price to get PIAA. It only skip when windscreen not wet enough. Heavy rain, it's fine.

Assuming if you already replaced the windshield, if you are driving an older car can be arm or linkage. If arm is bent usually it will skip only on one direction but not the other. I see that u replaced linkage as well, then the only thing left will be try to lift up and down the wipers to check whether the hinges of the wiper arms is providing enough pressure and is there any slack. If got, then that is the issue. What vehicle is this btw?

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Oct 14 2020, 05:38 PM) funny thing about this solution Bosch aerotwin skips like mad 😭 adjusted angle to be perpendicular with the windscreen at both the starting position and maintenance position with 2 spanar method, arm tension got. my wiper previously also skip i got free bottle of windscreen washer, instead of pouring it into the water reservoir i put it into a bottle, mix it with water and spray it all over the windscreen and wipe it it did resolve the issue but i'm not using cheapo wiper, am using bosch aerotwin I noticed when it stops at maintenance position the spread of the wiper is not consistent though. Some facing forward some backwards. Windscreen is clean too just done coating. The same aerotwin put on another car, wipes perfectly streak free |

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Mar 1 2022, 03:12 PM) NWB was the OEM supplier for Myvi 2006 wiper last time. I used a few pairs already. Shop redid the coating ... Seems like the shop had to thin out the coating to balance between the skipping. Water doesn't form beading as much now. But the wiper performance did improve. Citing "new wiper was very soft and melekat" Nowadays seem to be under Denso umbrella The con then: Not commonly found at all spareparts.. unlike bosch.. but nowadays with shopee and all easier to buy online Thanks for suggesting NWB, will definitely try it out next pair. Where rain water becomes droplets and easily flows away? Thanks for suggesting NWB, will definitely try it out next pair. Cheaper than aerotwin too |

Is there any advantage of trying to lift up the wiper and put it down so the blades touch the screen straight 90 degree rather than slanted after usage? because when the wiper sweeps and returned to the park position it (the blades) will usually be slanted at an angle due to direction of the sweep.

all else fail, just try change the wiper, i suggest NWB aqua, previously other brand i tried all chatter, but NWB is the least sound and chatter of all. NWB aqua is cheaper than aerotwin or PIAA also.

the wiper arm spring is too weak to hold the wiper down now with the coating and all
plain glass and silicone doesn't judder, but with additional coating it will 'grip, let go, grip, let go' and cause judder |
