I've been searching for a raw denim type 3 jacket for quite some time, unbranded's UB901 definitely caught my eye instantly, and I've did my own part of research, for my case, in JB, there is only one raw denim shop aka Kronoz denim ( farenheit ) but even they don't sell the jacket, only the jeans. They do have several raw denim jacket but none of them is type 3, most of it is type 2. So I'm on the search again, anyone here who's a raw denim enthusiast can probably recommend me what other shops in JB / Malaysia that sells raw type 3 jacket ? Fit is also an issue, so preferably if can, I'd like to be there to try it out physically.

Hi bro, no luck at all, even at kronoz, but im from JB, so kronoz JB they don't have any raw denim jackets, and they have been very unresponsive to my messages. Anyway, just wanna ask, is the sizing and cutting different when compared western and japan ? For example, Levi's Size S fits me a little big, but the seller told me that the same Size S for Japan ( Momotaro 3105SP type 3 jacket ) would fit me perfectly because their sizing and cutting is smaller than western, is this true ?

probably is. the thing about japanese clothing is... take for example their t-shirt/shirt. i wear medium size t-shirt and usually they fit a tad bigger if non japanese brand, however the m size for japanese brand t-shirt (SDA, flathead) do fit me snug.

some like denimio.com website or if u buy from rakuten japan, they'll attached a size chart so u can manually measure it.

I see, yeah I figured their cutting fits smaller and slimmer and it's cater to us asian body. Im currently looking for momotaro's 3105SP type 3 jacket, which i found on denimio and okayama denim, they do have a size chart and smallest being size 36, i did my measurements by measuring on a long sleeve denim shirt from Uniqlo which fits me, and below is my measurements, according to the staff of Okayama denim, they say a size 36 should fit me perfectly, but still worried though, are they legit btw ? They say shipping using DHL would take only 2-3 days.

Chest 36
Shoulder 17"5
Center back 29
Sleeve 23"5
Cuff 4"5

i think denimio is from japan.

yep the address is from japan and also got HK office. Depending on the product. all within one week using EMS/FedEx/DHL. only one product (redmoon wallet) was a bit late (around 2 weeks) because the item is a proxy item so they have to get it from redmoon.

Oh i see, oh ya, do u need to pay for any tax when it reaches malaysia custom ? I was told by Okayama denim that it depends, some don't need to pay for anything some might. I'll be ordering only one piece of denim jacket which is around 1.1k. Shouldnt have any tax right ?

I see, ok thanks bro, yeah hopefully i won't need to pay any tax. Btw, since u order a lot of denim related stuff in the past, how true is it as far as the size chart goes ? Because I measured a denim long sleeve shirt that fits me and according to their ( momotaro )measuring guide and size chart, they say a size 36 ( smallest size available ) would fit me just well, but because its my first purchase, and with that price tag, i dun wanna get the size wrong even though they allow exchange for another item if such a case happen, so just wanna hear from ur opinion how u deal with sizing when it comes to jacket ?

it should be fine i guess. most of the clothes i bought online (mostly denimio) have a pretty accurate size chart.
as for dealing with sizing, i just make sure the seams from the shoulder is as near as my shoulder and u can button it all up nicely and it wrap ur body just nice. u can bend ur elbows and dont feel any restriction. just take a note that denim (if im not mistaken urs is 15 oz) would feel a bit stiff at 1st but just wear it and it'll loose overtime. if its too big, i would suggest u to soak in a hot water to make it shrink a bit.

other than that i would say just enjoy ur denim and wear it as much as u can.

I see, so basically the most important measurement would be the arm sleeve and shoulder ? The chest part isnt as important ? Yup, mine will be the 15.7oz one, i measured by using a long sleeve shirt that fits me, though i didnt button up the shirt.

thats my personal measurement la. if u feel comfortable with the jacket for me its good enough. but as u said u spend quite a money so u wanted to be perfect for u. Anyways, best of luck and please post a pic of u with ur denim jacket later on.

oh just to add, 15.7oz is kindda thick for ur everyday denim. if u never wear a thick denim, it'll be a bit uncomfortable but after sometimes u'll love it. i love my 19oz samurai jeans so much that i wear that exclusively for the last 3 years lol.

Ahh ok, anyway i confirmed with OD that the measurement would be perfect for me, should fit me well, they also said they will do a final measurement on the jacket itself once it arrives for me, so don't think i got any to worry. I will definitely post a pic here after i got it. Will do a fit check post

Got it, i'll endure the uncomfortable because I know after everyday wears, it'll mold to my own body shape and gets most comfortable, i also cant wait for the fades which i know its gonna take quite a while to appear.

Oh ya on a side question, the iconic battle stripes paint on momotaro, i understand that it will fade over time along with the item, but would it be gone completely ? I scared it will be gone completely after years of wearing.
