I have a TX1221AU.
I was trying to perform a format earlier today.
Everything works find after I went in to the 1st welcome screen of XP(dos based), and manage to copy all the setup files into the hard drive.
2nd restart, was when the setup was running, things happened.
It suddenly black out by itself, like completely power off. (p/s: Both the AC adapter and the battery is attached on the laptop)
At 1st I was like "Oh maybe some error", so I just on back the power, and let the setup run again.
After a while, again the whole laptop was power down by itself.
I had a 2x 2gigs 667 in it, I took out 1, and on back the power.
And now, everything is working perfectly.

So, I wanna ask, is it the RAM that cause the auto shut down?
Cause after I done formatting everything, I put the RAM that I took out earlier in, and working perfectly.

Or is it the Mobo? Bye bye RM500? sad.gif

I bought them by my own.
Have been using for around 1 year already the RAM, no problem at all.
