Hello, it has been a month after I completed the root canal treatment, i noticed that couple weeks after RCT till now i felt pain in the tooth when i eat hot or cold food, it ain't painful towards pressure, just towards the temperature. I honestly can't think about having a crown on it (currently having the filling after RCT) because i dont know if its the right choice given now when i eat something thats hot or very cold the pain is kinda intense and it lingers for couple seconds before going away..

Anyone with similar cases that can give me any advise?

thanks for the reply guys
actually my rct is considered complete, went through 3 sessions (alot of xrays) and the dentist said what's next would be getting a crown and yes, the dentist said all the roots inside the teeth has been cleared. strangely the teeth remained sensitive though only towards hot and cold food and drinks.

i also went for tooth fillings with one of the teeth being beside the teeth that had rct, but the pain felt when i eat hot or cold drinks is the exact same spot which is the rct'ed teeth, not the filled teeth next to it.

would y'all reckon i go get a desensitizer tooth paste and see if it get better? Man i hope the filling on the rct'ed teeth will last, been avoiding chewing of hard foods on that teeth so far.

Ah yes before i forgot, there's this weird taste in my mouth everytime i ate or drank hot or cold food, the taste came along with the pain. Anyone had that before?
