These kind of subs exists since few years ago. My uncle installed it in in Wira! He says its cheap and powerful. And no need to install amp also.

if you wanna achieve that bassy experience, try upgrade to a mid range HU which offers tonnes of audio configuration.

some of these HUs have built in digital DSP and high power output to drive your speakers to produce better audio.

of course, a better component speakers would help to enhance the audio quality.

definitely component speaker wouldn't be able to provide that low freq sound as per subwoofer. Subwoofer is to provide that low freq fullness to make the listening more fulfilling.

Does adding a underseat woofer helps to improve the bass?

Also, I feel like sometimes my 10 inch woofer bass becomes less boom boom over time. Is this normal? Or is it because my woofer is falling apart? Only used for 6-8 months so far

Add small tweeters to complete ur set, those blaupunkt pair rm90-100 is enuff oredi

if ur hu is android player, install dsp sound apps, 1k-20k band (half to right side EQ) put higher points, 1K put lower near minus , on left side put a bit v-shape points to capture the bass, if DSP got surround sound mode its good also to activate it

since u done with the DSP EQ bass, no need to put more gain+ on the actual subwoofer so let the deep boom (low bass) spread from the seat to the entire car floor

i got install this underseat.. i changed the tweeter then add this underseat. HU i never change cause still can use.. been close to 4 years since i used this underseat. it does compensate the missing bass, make music sounds fuller..

another way is improve your car body dampening to create a solid environment for the bass to reflex.

for example, a well dampened (soundproofed) door with a common component mid speaker would provide better mid bass depth vs stock.
