Why need to reboot?

You can have the best cast, but if story like crap, nothing can save it. I think the first Milla Jovovich RE was the best in the series. The sequels were average to bad. Looking at the director's list of films (47 Metres Down among them), don't get your hopes too high.

Whatever it is, it couldn't possibly be as bad as the "reboot" Street Fighter film - Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

IMO, they should make RE based on the game and locations and add more backstory/life to the characters. Most live action movie adapted from games = tend to stray away from source material.

1. Follow deadpool and Alien template i.e small scale, dark and gritty. spend the CGI budget on zombies and monsters ony.
2 focus on ‘survival’ or ‘rescue’ storyline, not saving the world.
3. few characters people can invest in or relate to.
4. Establish bigger stakes over a series of movies, not at the first one.
5. Realistic, practical actions scenes.
6. Scarier zombies and atmosphere.

Claire should be played by kristen stewart...add in some nekkid shower scene with milla hnggghhhh ..

Just make sure Paul WS Anderson is not directing this
