no wrong... even you try with charger adaptor 60W also max 20W, the device itself should only draw 20W max, you have 200W charger still 20W the device will draw, so it is up to 50% charge in 30 minutes, no mater how many watts charge you use, anything above 20W, same 30minutes to 50%

but i doubts Apple change it to max 20W, i believe it is still 18W max, just they are selling 20W charger now... because if like previous gen 18W compare to 20W, to 50% could takes lesser than 30 minutes

anything have to wait someone get iPhone 12 on hand and try out smile.gif
*
i think someone did a test before, maximum benefit is up to 30-40W at best. but the returns are sibeh low for the cost youre paying la

the results are like below for full charge from 0-100% if i recall correctly when charging iphone

5W - takes 3hrs, 1 1/2hr to 50%
12W - takes close to 2hrs, 1hr to 50%
18-20W - takes 1 1/2hr, 30min to 50%
30W - takes 1hr 20min, 30min to 50%
96W - takes 1hr 20min, 30min to 50%

Yeah, that’s why previously a number of folks recommended that we just use the iPad 12W charger for the right balance between price and charging times, but now that Apple’s 20W charger costs just RM10 more than the 12W one, it’s a no brainer smile.gif
*
yeah especially since proper USB-C PD chargers for 3rd parties are even more ex atm haha

damn my 18W bought last time feels quite sad

Hahaha, me worse, bought the USB C to Lightning cable at RM129 when it first launched!
Logically, no. But the heart want what it wants, hahaha...
*
i wouldnt mind buying the higher watt chargers if they offer 2-3 USB-C ports on them instead of one

so much space conserving

Dolby Atmos on a phone is a joke and a stupid marketing gimmick. There is no way in hell you can get Atmos effect from a bloody phone speaker.

Dolby Vision is more plausible, though I'd be hard press to find anyone noticing the difference on a small screen.
Video recording DV however is anther story. Might make a bit of difference during playback on a DV enabled TV, but again recording done on a small sensor camera phone, don't expect a big difference either...
*
it is, i remember last time LG released a speaker bar for TV and markets it with Dolby Atmos "surround". but the speakers are all coming from a single speaker bar. how is that surround? proper surround sound multiple speakers setup be like

user posted image

anyway as for the screen wise, it mostly matters to the ones who uses it that way. i know lots of peeps would enjoy the dynamic contrast of apple's new HDR10 screens since they watch alot content on them

for us who uses phones for err.. instant messaging mostly then its moot lol, even LCD works

That’s another marketing bullshit lol... you can get stereo speakers or even surround if you can pair up to 4 homepods but Atmos definitely not...
It’s possible if the soundbar has upfiring speakers, but it will never give the same realistic sound from ceiling speakers. But Samsung’s Atmos soundbar has really come a long way, does Atmos very well for a soundbar.
Sony’s soundbar uses digital sound processing to simulate Atmos, still no where as close to even upfiring speakers soundbar. For Apple to simulate Atmos on their mini HomePod speaker they will need to pray to God to defy physics...
*
it should be the same like ori homepod

8 speakers in one module. problem is its drivers are tiny, how does it emulate the more powerful dolby speakers?

dolby has been lenient in approving haha

that 64GB mini enough kah?

I feel like nowadays, every business wants you to download their app. Starbucks, bonuslink, all the banks etc etc ....
*
for me enough since most apps are pretty lightweight. not to mention thats why apple introduced AppClips smile.gif

but if you those kind that keeps and stores everything locally on phone instead of cloud then its def not enough. im usually running 49GB/64GB free on my XR even with 9GB songs, 5GB pics/vids

I'm currently on 64GB. I don't have that discipline to transfer photos and videos. sad.gif

that way, my phone was running out space. I checked all the apps, everything also important, especially there are certain apps required for identity verification. Then I transferred all the videos to my computer, now I've about 12GB left.  laugh.gif
*
yeah then better buy 128/256GB. most of my friends who consume alot like you def need more and even 128GB isnt enough for them

i need more for my PC haha not phone

this is misleading bait news again

plenty of USB-C chargers out there with so called fast charging of 25/40/60/120W are also limiting and never reach its peak unless during the low state levels in their batteries.

people kept thinking phones will draw maximum power until 80% then slow trickle. it doesnt at all, only time it draws the highest is during 0-50%. see the article abt xiaomi 120W charging in androidauthority

it drew 80W during their testing instead of 120W. so should we also draw pitchforks that xiaomi mislead customers and limit them? meh, physics happened, deal with it. such is battery tech now unless we can eliminate the heat issues from fast charging

Partly disagree. The material quality and design are mostly perfect, I sounds stupid but really (I'm the victim sometime standing in the middle of path choosing design or durability in buying Apple products). Their simplicity and elegant design of accessories are just perfect, but the down part is some of them can't last long. None of other manufacturers can come out with the material and design perfection like Apple. They're probably last longer yea but it just kinda lack of something.

So, at the end it's still up to you. Are you a rich fag that don't care about lasting long and to have perfect design of the item?, or you just can't afford to change the accessories from time to time. It's just like you own a AMG GTR but you have to maintain it like a princess, or you could just buy a Toyota and last long for decades.
*
yeah i love the quality, they are really top notch especially the milanese straps. the fit, the finish, the feel, the look is whole different level

but you still are paying a huge premium la

Same feeling. Coming from Pixel 4, the real time blur in the iPhone 12 portrait view finder looks fake and annoying. Add to the fact that you cannot adjust the depth of blur after the shot.

Also, iPhone 12 images are unnatural and oversaturated. Your face will be brightened and beautified unlike Pixel where you can see your ugliness (lol 😂) because it's natural. Ironic how some iPhone users are bashing Samsung for beauty filter when Apple is doing the same.
*
wait what? on the contrary reading reviewers most of them agree iphone cameras are the most neutral in colours, only aggressive in noise reduction which cause the dreaded water painting look. other androids are way more aggressive with the color saturations and contrast, which looks better but isnt what real life portrays.

also since 2018 they can adjust bokeh on the portrait mode on the fly or after. what year you living in? also old skul dual cam portrait mode will always lose to other competitor that employ ToF for better depth perception obviously

What about online bro, on Shopee or Lazada? Tried those yet?
I tend not to engage in those kinda talk coz color reproduction is kinda subjective and like you said, really depends on personal preference. I'm in agreement with most folks that iPhone's colour reproduction is more skewed towards the neutral and life-like.
*
yeah it does as each manufacturers really goes for a diff look. but no doubt la iphones are the most bland and least interesting look of all smartphone cameras. it doesnt help that SmartHDR sometimes screw the color balance laugh.gif

but after some editing itll look similar already

16:09 - THIS is what iPhone is doing with your face as MKBHD has mentioned. Is it bad? Not at all. Is it "natural/neutral"? Definitely not.

There is nothing wrong with beauty filter or brightening of skin which makes your skin tone "pleasing to the eye". It's not a bad feature from iPhone 😅.

I like it. iPhone users love it. I'm just stating what I have observed straight from Pixel 4 to iPhone 12.

Tons of reddit thread and other reviews also noticed this face filter. Samsung is just more aggressive in this regard.

I guess only Pixel users would really understand since our point of comparison is a Pixel and not Samsung. ✌️
*
during 2018 last time when apple had the "beautygate" nonsense, i should be the SmartHDR doing it again doh.gif

the shadowing layering causing this weird2 look as usual. i dont like it honestly, its no diff than beauty filters or those AI overprocessing

i prefer Pixel's level of sharpening and detail honestly. but you have to admit it their colors & contrast are very aggressive already, standard pattern on most smartphone cams
